We have a good friend that works with vacuums quite a bit and his first comment to me about this vac is that it is the most powerful vac that is battery operated to date. I believe this to be very true and quite possibly why this unit is a battery hog. Think about it, to get the power, you need to use power. There is a balance between power and runtime. In this case, the runtime is between 12 and 19 minutes depending on the material or liquid you are vacuuming. The short runtime is a benefit to me as I do not want to sit and vacuum more than 15 minutes anyway!

Ridgid has really stepped up there cordless game big time I'm really lovin what there bringing out as of late, I live my corded Ridgid vac and this one also looks great to have. Thanks for the review!
I modified this vacuum i put 2 5.0ah makita battery in parallels and got a amazing 30 min run time

Great review Brian. This would come in handy around the house. My large shop vac is mounted on a cart with a dust separator and it is a pain to unhook it when I need it for something like water or in a tight space.
Nice John Deere tractor!! Cordless vacuums are super handy to have around.
