Turn on the Floor setting for the Eureka Quick Up 96H Cordless Vacuum and then clean up any hard surface. We tested the vacuum on both small particles and larger particles by tossing flour and crushed crackers on the ground. It cleaned up the flour easily even up to the edge of the floor. We recommend going head on to the edge.
All the larger particles didn’t fit under the vacuum head. Some were pushed forward. The Eureka 96H 2-in-1 is light at only four pounds, and is easy to use. Just pick it up to clean a mess on furniture or upholstery
For carpets, it did a good job on the small particles, but notice that after the first pass there is still some flour left on the top of the carpet. You have to make multiple passes to make sure you clean up a big mess entirely. The carpets were more difficult for the Eureka and the edge wasn’t totally clean.
The larger particles fit under the vacuum on carpeting, and they were sucked up nicely with only one pass of the Eureka Quick Up.
This is called a 2-in-1 vacuum, because you can detach the handle. Now it operates like a handheld vacuum. This comes in handy for cleaning stairs or upholstery.
The noise level of this little vacuum is relatively quiet at just over 70 decibels, which is 10 below the average noise level of a vacuum. The filter isn’t airtight, as there is more dust coming out of the exhaust of the vacuum than there is in the air.
In addition to charging the cordless vacuum when it’s not in use, you need to empty the dust bin frequently because it is so small. It is a messy job as you can see. The filter really holds onto the dust and needs to be tapped a lot to get the dust out.
