Which vacuum do you use?
I have a central vac in my home and I LOVE it. But I am in the market for a cordless vac so I can just pull it out in between cleanings with my central vac. I think the Dysons are too expensive so I'm thinking of going with a Tineco. I hear they are comparable with Dyson but a lot cheaper.
We bought a Dyson Animal V8 November last year and a few months later it starts surging. I call up Dyson 0800 here in NZ and get a woman making excuses and telling me its blocked and the filter needs 'washing'. I do that and its ok for another week and then its just starts happening again. Total crap and a waste of money. I will never buy Dyson again, battery life also lousy. For what Dyson charge this is a ripoff. Hope you enjoy your millions Mr Dyson as your products stink.
Dyskn V8, not happy with….the only major drawback is that the cold air that is blown out on the side feels very unpleasant on your body. (because you go back and forth, pulling the vacuum cleaner towards you.) That exit should be away from the body. (forward)

The Ball 2 Animal doesn't work at ALL on certain short pile area rugs, the suction is actually way too strong, just gets stuck. Big problem on that unit.
Beware: when the battery eventually stops working, you will pay a BUNCH of money to buy a new one. I love Dyson and have owned one since they hit the market. The cordless models have batteries that eventually will not charge — replacement cost for the battery is ridiculous. Stick with the corded version. (same if you buy an electric car — battery replacement cost is astronomical)
Beware, Dyson customer service sucks and where I live in Canada there is no one to service them. I cannot get a new filter to work on my machine. I have a V10 and it works fine with my current filter but the filter it is getting old so I thought I would purchase a new one for a spare. Well every filter I purchase, will not work on my machine. Dyson has no solution, their answer is I should purchase a new Dyson. Mine works great right now with the old filter and is only 4 years old. The filter system on these machines are a design downfall. Like I said, their customer service sucks for such an expensive machine.
I have 1500 sq feet of ceramic tile, which Dyson is best for me?

I have a Dyson Animal, but I am older and I find it is quite an effort to use it. Maybe time to switch to a stick vacuum.
I have dyson ball so get the dyson ball
