In this video we discuss some of the things we really like about the Shark ION W1 Handheld cordless vacuum cleaner. You can see it on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2GjJxoK

We start by highlighting what you get when you buy your Shark ION W1 Handheld vacuum. We then discuss how sleek and attractive the machine is and that this allows you to place it out in the open – on a counter of shelf for example. This makes it just that much easier to access for quick pickups.
The W1 includes 2 tools which can both be stored in the ION charging dock. Having a place to store the tools is handy as tools often get lost when they have no built-in storage option.
We like that the Shark ION W1 can fully charge its battery in 2.5 hours. This is fairly rapid. Most of our other handhelds take 3.5 to 5 hours.
The filter is very easy to access and when it gets particularly dirty you can rinse it in water. You don’t have to replace it. This saves money over the long run.
The dust canister is very easy to empty. You simply press a button with your thumb (easily accessible when you are holding the vacuum) and the dust canister pops open.
Cleaning performance tests showed that the W1 was reasonably effective on small-to-medium sized debris and it was also better at pulling up pet hair than expected.
The narrow profile of the vacuum makes it great for getting into tight/cramped areas and behind furniture. It is also very good for doing vehicle interiors. You can even get more reach by adding the narrow crevice tool.
We find the vacuum comfortable in the hand and it has two controls that are easily accessed. In addition, the unit is extremely lightweight at only 1.4 lbs.
Run time is neither good not bad in our opinion. We got 9 minutes and 52 seconds on a full charge. It’s not a long run time but this is a very lightweight, smallish handheld vacuum. It may be sufficient for your needs but it may not.

I have been looking at this vacuum for a little while. I really want something that I can just use to pick up crumbs and cat hair from my counter tops, rather than having to pull out my cylinder vacuum to do so. Would you recommend it for that? Have you also tried the Vorwerk one which looks to be a very similar product in shape and price? https://kobold.vorwerk.co.uk/vacuum-cleaner/kobold-vc100-handheld-vacuum-cleaner/
Very cool thanks for the review. saw this thing at walmart today and was wondering if it's worth the price. For future videos it would be awesome if you actually rub the debris into the carpet
COULD YOU TELL US IF ITS THE WV200UK MODEL OR NOT? PLEASE, AS AREN'T THERE A FEW DIFFERENT MODELS IN THE 'W' RANGE?
IT JUST SAYS 'W1 ION' & I CAN'T FIND THE EXACT MODEL YOU ARE SHOWING.
THANKS VERY MUCH 👍
I purchased this little hand vac a couple of weeks ago. It's still in the box because I couldn't find any comprehensive reviews on it and Shark's website wasn't helpful. I bought on the recommendation of a a YouTuber I follow. Charge and runtimes should be there, but they aren't. Thanks for the review.
