https://vacuum-cleaner-advisor.com/Shark-Vacuums/shark-ionflex-cordless-vacuum-review.html In this video we discuss several issues we have with the Shark IONFlex cordless stick vacuum (model 2X IF252). In particular we look at the fact that it is difficult to use with the wand for overhead cleaning (due to the unit’s weight). We also discuss MultiFlex Technology which frankly has left us wondering if it really is necessary. We note that the vacuum has a tendency to leave a little debris behind on the pullback when used on carpet, and we highlight that the cleaner head claws the machine forward thereby fighting against you when you pull it back. In addition, we discuss the weight of the handheld unit, the diminutive size of the dust canister, and the need for the battery to reach a proper temperature before it can be charged. Finally, we find the IONFlex a little on the pricey side.

Stop complaining you aren't supposed to use one arm
I think he’s just looking for an excuse to not like this Shark. I wonder what Shark ever did to him.
Better than the dyson
You suck kid
You were indifferent to the flex technology?? I don’t think the flex technology really cares! Also, you mentioned that it’s “a bit awkward” to use the Ion Flex under furniture while using the flex wand…while it does take some getting used to, the flex technology, which simply means that once again Shark used common sense while killing two birds with a single stone, is actually a major advantage to the Ion Flex Cordless Duo!!! I have major spinal issues, have gone through multiple back surgeries and knee surgery and love how Shark handheld vacuum cleaners made it possible for me to vacuum again without adding to my physical challenges. But while I love my Shark Powered (with cord) Duo vacuum cleaner, I found that the part I struggle with the most is
A. The fact that it doesn’t stand upright, which means I must bend my back to lower it to the ground every time I must pause between vacuum jobs;
B. I must bend my back several times while holding onto the Duo in order to roll the power cord before I store it;
C. I must bend my back to run the Powered Duo under furniture;
It’s hard to fathom how you managed to get a Shark Duo Vacuum cleaner to “push and leave dirt debris behind”!!! You gotta be pretty good at making such thing happen while using any of the Shark Duo vacuum cleaners!
And please, let’s not compare prices between Shark and Dyson vacuum cleaners because Dyson does a great job at charging an arm and a leg while loosing in major points against Shark vacuum cleaners!!!!
If you want anything that weighs less than the Shark handheld vacuum cleaners, I can only think of feather dust wands…you know…the stuff we use just before we have to vacuum our floors…lol…
How are these on laminate flooring? Would you just take the power head off and use it like a shop vac?
I agree with you about the bulky and heavy handle. I returned my shark after a couple of weeks because of the weight in the wrists and hands
4.8 pounds ??? Even if the weight is off centered that shouldn't be a big problem. Tone those shoulders and fore arms sir!!!
serously the cyclone v10 is 100% better than this
And on carpets this guy stinks so much shark should be sued for false advertising
Man your carpet sure looks clean.. 😂😂
What cordless stick type do you like best?
The point about it moving forward as a bad thing is ridiculous. Most people like a good self propelled sweeper.
My back loves the flex part of the vacuum, I do agree about the lifting when you pull the vacuum but some elbow grease fixes that. I never used Max power mode so I can't say much about that. As for the dust canister, yeah I wish it was removable and bigger. The Shark feels sturdier than my Dyson and much happier w/it.
Is there an allergen filter or any filters at all?
Lot's of great useful info…thanks.
I will be testing the Shark IonFlex IF250 for Walmart's Spark Reviewer program, mostly at the office, since we needed a vacuum cleaner for the office anyway. I am curious to learn how it will perform, as I've only used robotic vacuums and corded uprights before now, and never anything as expensive as a Shark IonFlex.
The model we have is only a few days old, and it works pretty well. The problem we found is with two small felt lined black rollers that you can see on the sides of the bottom of the cleaning head. Dog hair wrapped around those rollers and binds. it is very difficult to remove, and takes way too much time to try to remove it. The rollers need to be designed so they can be released for cleaning hair from around the sides. Support said ia was the first to report, yeah, right, i was born yesterday too. In any case, it is a nice design, but there is always room for improvement. We get about 20 minutes of clean time on the battery while it is new, we did the break in period of a full charge and discharge on the first use.
The irony. This guy has such a soothing voice reviewing the harsh noise of a vacuum. Do an asmr video.
I got my shark ionflex in the mail today. I ordered it off Qvc two days ago… I LOVE IT! I'm a double amputee and my back is shot. So I can't spend a lot of time walking/standing and usually vacuuming/sweeping/mopping kills my back even from my wheelchair.
But this made it all so much easier. I did my entire house. My back doesn't hurt, the battery lasted and it got everything. The only things that was a minor inconvenience was the fact that it was hard to steer when it was flexed (for under the couch) and I had to do a few more passes, but I'd much rather do a few more passes than spend days laid up because my back hurts too much to move.
You have reviewed a lot of vacuums what is your favorite over all of them?What is your favorite stick vacuum? What is your favorite shark? What is your favorite non-shark item
Your videos are top notch! But what happened to shark. They use to be such great quality but now they are crap. The duoclean is stupid and so much hair wraps around the roller constantly that it is ridiculous. My v6 has no problems with this in either modes what so ever. You are right that It is heavy. But the worst part for me is the sharks cyclone! It is so awful at separating fine dirt. Then you have to constantly wash the filters which are different from other sharks and more annoying to clean. Not to mention all the debris gets so easily wrapped around inside the cyclone. Also, this vacuum wines. Its sound when on is the most anniying high pitched wine like no other vacuum I have had (and I have the v6) When you put all these negatives together it just isn't worth it!
I have the Shark and I sold the Dyson V8. The Dyson sucked no pun intended. It has poor battery life, cannot replace the battery and you have to charge the unit you cannot charge just the battery. The suction is much better on the Shark and the high speed on the Shark is way better than Dyson. I like the self drive or the pull forward and anyone with a brain knows to run the floor more than once. Oh and just empty the canister after every clean up. The secret with the battery temp issue on recharge is to put it in the freezer for 5 minuets works great. Pricing with 2 batteries and the pet motor head was 200 less than my Dyson V8 was so not true on that one. The Duo clean head really works it is much better than the Dyson head, neither are perfect but Shark is the winner here! Now the Shark has a more industrial look to it, the Dyson has a more refined look to it so if looks could kill I guess the Dyson would be a cereal killer🤪 anyway seriously get the Shark it is just way better!!
