I have the V8 absolute and I love it. I always hated the sound of the vacuum cleaner since I was a kid. this machine changed my vacuuming habits because it's so easy and fun to vacuum I use it all time so that places doesn't get that dusty to fill the cannister at once. Only bad part is being expensive I think.

Heya, ive noticed a slightly annoyimg minor issue with my V6 Absolute. Sometimes when I press the trigger the motorhead doesnt always come on, I have to release the trigger and then press it again and then it works perfectly. Have you ever come across this with your V6 before? Ive taken the wand off and connected directly and it done it like that too, so I thought it might be the head.

ThingsDemystified says:

I wouldn't say the battery isn't removable. You can just remove the screws holding it, and not reinstall all the screws. The battery can then be easily swapped. Anyone with a DIY spirit can easily do this.

Rocking in a free world says:

The only thing to dislike is its not a v8!

Scott S says:

The kind of annoying thing … you didn't read the manual. The door must be open when you pop canister on and off.

DJTJNS7 says:

why no review the dyson V8?

Noddy7 says:

Wow this review is very annoying !

Easy to be negative I guess on minor things.

Dyson cannot make a vacuum to suit everyone but they are great machines. Its is a small cordless vacuum that does exactly what it says it can do and with great effect.

We've had ours for a year now and wouldn't be without it.

Our dog once chewed through the charging wire and we had to use our Dyson corded vacuum for a week. Made us appreciate the machine cordless function again.

So easy to use.

Thank you, Very helpful. if pricing wasn't an issue, what multi-function handheld would you use for yourself? I don't mind the short run or shorter run time but emptying with sticking drives me nuts if difficult to clean (I owned an older Dyson upright that did that ). I need a handheld for fast jobs, corner pet hair and stairs. Secondly, what heavier duty vacuum would you purchase? I'm getting overwhelmed with choices. My biggest preference would be corner to corner suction and underneath furniture that cannot be done with traditional uprights. I have an old KIRBY that still works amazingly on carpets in the general area but its extremely HEAVY and cannot reach under furniture. Thanks again.

Fist world problems. 🙂 I use a chopstick to get whatever debris is lodged at the top. No need to disassemble.

lannert425 says:

You obviously didn't read your manual or don't know about Dyson products. The bin door has to be open on all Dyson products before putting it on. Not just the v6. I have this product and can do my 800 square foot apartment about 5 times before I need to recharge it. My moms on a full charge can do a roughly 2500 square foot house. I did the entry, formal living and dining, kitchen, eat in area, family room, stairs, all 4 bedrooms and 2 hallways and an office nook. As far as the price, you get what you pay for. It has an amazing warranty and amazing customer service.

Ran Kong says:

Seems like you did not read the user menu for cleaning the V6, it only took me seconds to put it back.

murd777 says:

You forgot about the filters that fall off every time you move the vacuum.

JonsWorld says:

What I hate is mine broke in five months. Get a shark, it's far better suction and more reliable.

tiredrummertube says:

Shame on dyson; this thing was a prototype sold as a valid product; sad.

cgygirl07 says:

missing mounting screws are noted as an annoyance in your video, those are generally not provided with anything as it depends on the material you hang your mount on (brick, wood, drywall, etc)

procekim says:

Interesting you did not mention loud noise. That is something that irritates me with Dyson's. but now I watched V8 video and that is much improved. thanks for your video.

Mahir Abdul says:

you didn't assemble the bin right. you are ment to open the bottom part first

Danny Arellano says:

The battery life is short, but move quick and you can clean the whole house no issue. I just bought one and right out of the box with no charge I did hallway, 1 bedroom, restroom, kitchen and living room. And that was new out the box without knowing the battery's life.

miex theone says:

Try assembly with open flap. Works much easier for me.

Sasha Gray says:

Thank you !

CrownAtGold says:

if not this one, which comparable vacuum would you recommend?

Albert Wood says:

looks like the guy in the video has had a very limited experience with the V.6
I find it simple to take the shroud off and put it back on …. not frustrating at all simple it has an indention on the "bin" and a protrusion of the "engine" ,,,,like all other dyson vacuums it is just one big leggo toy,,,so it snaps into place …like i stated earlier the guy in the video did not spend any time with this vacuum ,

fastmover45 says:

have to say the price is a show stopper for me in the UK too but i know they are good as are most Dyson's
