Hi Roger, I own the USA version of this, the Hoover Cruise. It's strange but when it first came out it was $179.99 retail and came with only 3 tools, a crevice tool, dusting brush and the same pet hair remover yours came with. Now it's available in three package deals, all three the same exact vacuum but with one, three or four tools. Oddly the pricing is the same for the one or three tool sets but the four tool with extra filter version is not priced on the Hoover website yet. Also, we can't buy (at least not yet) the Hard Floor brush you received and we don't get the nice bag you get. All together I like this vacuum but it's not nearly as powerful as the Dyson like you mentioned and sorry RustySkull. I got mine as a gift, but the Dyson V8 is an amazing vacuum and as close to a corded full sized vacuum that I've ever used. Just my opinion, but if you want a basic stick vacuum for quick clean ups or light cleaning.. this VAX or the USA Hoover Cruise is ideal, but for corded upright performance in a cordless vacuum the Dyson V8 is the best, you can't even compare the VAX/Hoover to the Dyson.. you Do get what you pay for in performance and power. Thanks for the video Roger.. it was fun watching you use this VAX on the Advent video with footprints from Santa. TTFN my friend.

You should set up a crowd funding page. Ask people for £5/10 to reach a goal of much of the cost of the crazy expensive Dyson V8 Absolute top model for review purposes and see what you get. I'm sure there are enough Dyson fans to cough up little bits which will add up. Seems like most people don't care about filtration quality (and allergens), long term filtration performance, attention to design detail, or the actual dust removal performance. They only care about what they can see with the naked eye; as cosmetic as that. If you can get good visual performance cheaply, then that's all that's needed for a win for them. So there's definitely an audience and market for cheaper copy-cats.

Sam Bernardo says:

Just recently purchase one and very please with it. Great value for money picked up one at $119 (Australian Dollars), perfect for that quick clean in between a major vacuum. Great video too ?

Darren78 says:

I would prefer a corded vacuum that has a longer lifespan without a battery dying, plus the only cordless that I have is an electrolux two in one stick vac.

ShrinkDavid 1982 says:

Considering how well the Shark's are made and the tools that come with, I am not sure why someone would want this unless they really want cordless. Personally, plugging something in isn't a problem for me.

Brian Torobin says:

Hooray! Roger is back! With his usual colour-coordinated clothing, as well! How you found a sweater and socks to match the subtle light copper accents of this vac, I don't know…. but don't think we fans don't notice the extra effort! o/!

Tim Joseph says:

In the U.S., it is sold as the Hoover Cruise cordless vacuum.

Ted Basowski says:

That had, surprisingly, better suction than I thought. You could see it pulling the filth in. It almost looks like it performs better than the Dysons. I'm curious to see how the filtration stacks up; especially with all that dust followed by your flour-y hard floor test.
