I had the same issue with the velour strip, Now the brush keeps stalling. Phoning them tomorrow. I tried last week but could never get through!
I do wish I had watched this before I ordered mine. I have used a Dyson previously but thought I would give Vax a go as Dyson are too expensive now. With great excitement I put it together immediately. It is very heavy (I have arthritis) and after I used it, I went over the carpet with my old Dyson and that picked up pet hair that the Vax missed
My grandma was about to get the vax blade 3 pet roger
I wish I had watched this video before ordering one – I am so disappointed in mine – I always rated Vax in the past as I still have the original orange corded hoover /carpet washer which is still going strong as it has such a good build quality. I think the bean counters have been let loose on this range sacrificing quality over function ality . My husband says it sounds like it's singing Crazy Horses as it's so loud ! Lol
I bought the shark blade 4 pet a few weeks ago at a cost of £245.00. Watched your video as I thought before watching your video my Vax was faulty as throughout my home apart from kitchen and bathroom I to have as you described plush carpet. The Vax is useless on this carpet as the led light goes off and a red light comes on numerous times, there is no blockage anywhere I have to mess about trying to find something inside which is supposedly blocking but there’s nothing. I then put the Vax back on it goes another few feet then same thing happens again. I’ve just tried the vax again after watching you’re video and if I keep it on the default setting it works a little better but as soon as I use the boost setting it stops.
The pet head doesn’t remove pet hair at all in fact I’ve gone back to using my old Miele hoover as cleaning is much easier with that and wouldn’t recommend this model Vax to anyone, a complete waste of money.
Bought one last year, and agree you should not buy this, or anything from Vax!
Almost exactly one year and BOTH of my batteries show up as being defective on the same day!
3 year warranty means Vax has replaced them, but to have both die on the same day…
Even emailed Vax about my concerns, so far they have not replied at all! Been over 2 weeks!
And now to top it off, the motorised brush has overheated!
I came to this video to see if the bulge on the motor side was there by design, it is not!
So now I have to contact them again about replacing the brush!
So until the 3 year warranty is up all I see is Vax having to, by law, replace all the items which become defective.
After the warranty expires Vax simply will not give a damn!
thanks for saving me money 😀 it looks expensive and bad,and my carpet is similar to this on the video ,so I'm glad I watched this video
What about pet hair
Thank you very much! 😀
Do not buy!! absolute rubbish, poor build quality, had two fail within 12 months. VAX don't want to know….
Wish I had seen this before buying. It is quite heavy and also the strip on the brush started to peel off.
Thank you for your help
I have this cleaner. I do like it but it does have niggles. As you pointed out with the mini motorised tool, it's not very good or easy to control. My biggest pain with it though is it's so hard getting the tools on and off the vacuum. It can get so stiff, I need to be pressing the button whilst my husband is pulling the attachment haha. Probably wouldn't buy another, I do like the bright LED headlights and the one I bought has two batteries so that's handy too. I would definitely look at a shark though for next time on your recommendation. It's not bad, but it doesn't set your world on fire lol.
Keep up the good job on here mate how are u OK mate keep up there good work on here mate
Need The update! please
After one very short use I checked the brush bar as the main head did look particularly dusty. Not only did the dust 'stick around' in the clear plastic head, it really did gather around the spindle. I had to take a small soft paintbrush to both ends of the brush bar and where they slot into the housing. In my older Dyson hand held this is the sort of cleaning task I only had to do every few months so I am worried if dust gets into the mechanism so easily it will cause damage before too many more uses. Considering returning this as a result.
Hello, what are your views on the cordless Shark Anti-hair wrap stick vs the Blade 4 Pet and car? I notice the Vax has a hose but I'm not sure if that makes it better? I know it's subjective but I wondered what you thought. 😀
A good Friday morning to you sir from Wellington Somerset
