VAX Air Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner Cleans The Whole House

In this video I take the Vax Air Cordless through the house and examine everything it picked up at the end of the video. It’s still the best cordless vacuum cleaner I have used to date.

I love getting a look inside homes in the UK. It seems the furniture is all packed in much more than here in the US, but with smart use of space. Like under that sink there was a spot for shoes!? Brilliant! We have Ikea here in the US and it is a marvel to us how they keep things minimal in size while adding little storage nooks in every opportunity. But I know home sizes over there are tiny in comparison.

CupMasterAsh says:

I think the Vax Air series is a direct port from the Hoover Air series in the U.S here, everything from the design and the motor sound is identical, except with the different brand names. And yes, I know there are Hoovers in the UK but I dont think the Air series has made it there, has it?

nrones says:

Have you maybe tried a Hoover Unplugged (Athen)? 🙂 I've used the most basic 18V one today at friends… Seems better than I expected, but those carpets weren't particularly dirty so I'm not sure

Raymond Wilson says:

Thanks for your videos but without knowing the type it is pointless there are many Vax Air Models Which one are you using ?

MarksmanYT says:

Hi Rodger, do you own a cleaning company ?

Tony Antoniou says:

Great review videos. Can you please tell me what camcorder you use as your videos are excellent quality? Thanks

Is there nothing I won't masturbate to on youtube? ;)

guitarplayerforu says:

the original Vax air tool holder is awful, every time you recline it the crevice/multi tool falls out of the holder. Its an ok vacuum though. Gets on my mums nerves too. But was a warranty replacement she got. Also bits of hair gets tangled in the tiny cyclones in the top of the bin. its probably one of the best made in China machines from Vax though.

It looks like the Hoover air cordless

Hi ibaisaic just wondering have you used the Dyson DC59 Animal before? I was thinking to get that one but saw your review so now I don't know which one to get. Lol.

In the USA we call the brand a Hoover cordless

Is it better then the Gtech air ram?

Elaine JohnC says:

We purchased the Vax air cordless several months ago, and are very impressed.  It is very lightweight, very efficient, very manoeuvrable, and offers many advantages over the corded vacuum cleaners, primarily ease with which it can speedily be taken out and used throughout all the house without any cord, even cleaning the stairs as you go.  Some ads. assert you use the tools to clean the stairs, but I have found it copes well with stairs without the tools, though the crevice tool is useful for inside edges for a more thorough clean when needed.  Because it is so efficient and easy to use, it makes carpet cleaning all the more enjoyable.  Furthermore, if you choose to press the button for hard floor use, it will vacuum rugs without instantly drawing them into the machine, which I find a great bonus.  Even long piled sheepskin rugs are vacuumed with ease.
As mentioned, the hose is rather restricting and the suction power to the tools reduced.  It is nevertheless adequate for most dusting jobs and kinder on fabrics.  The crevice and hard brush tool are cleverly combined and these three tools suffice for most jobs.  However, it is needed to be lifted high for ceilings and curtain rails even with the extension handle.
For those with an eye to running costs and carbon footprint, the electricity saved is also an additional bonus for such a powerful and versatile machine, bearing in mind that the batteries are replaced by VAX free of charge within the 6 year warranty period.
When you have a tool which is such a joy to use, you feel obliged to share the good news.  Well done, VAX!

Hi ibaisaic have you got any video of the tools pick up in action ? Would like to see it pick up the kind of cereal / sand etc style mess with the pipe please , Is the pipe suction ok for day to day stuff or not really upto that the job ? Lokking to buy one but read lots reviews about the pipe suction being crap, Your videos very good help thanks

As an American it feels weird seeing this vacuum with a Vax logo instead of the Hoover.

Jacob Nolan says:

Very good performance from the Vax there, it also did a very good job of agitating the carpets, especially on the blue carpet. Very fitting music somehow, sounds like one of those daytime TV show themes, Cash In The Attic or something like that.

Parwaz seveneightsix Officiial says:

Impressive machine and vieo of course. Have you tried the Dyson DC59? That is meant to be as powerful as a corded vacuum, so could be a competitor against this Air cordless, perhaps.

Vax UK says:

Hi Roger, we really enjoyed this closer look at the debris your Air Cordless removed from carpets in this home! It's really interesting to see that you collected larger items like pet hairs and near-microscopic debris like sand too. The Dirt Separator inside the Dirt Container is specifically-designed to help ensure this range of particle collection takes place.

We really appreciate you taking the time out to show what great cleaning performance Air Cordless is giving you even when you task it with covering an entire, spacious home, not to mention that you were able to clean throughout with battery power to spare! A great video! Thanks, Dan

countryprincess97 says:

love your videos and this would be one of my favorite videos of yours if it didnt have the music playing over the vacuum noise. i like to watch your videos to see all the stuff you pick up and for the sound of the vacuum going, i love listenng to the vacuums and different types o models. i can almost identify each vacuum by just the  sound of the motor running lol.
are you going to keep what you vacuumed up to use in a demostration for other vacuums later?

Luke Davies says:

Hi Roger. This is a great video. The Vax Air Cordless looks great. It picks up the same amount of dirt as my Vax Air Reach would pick up. 10 metre power cord is handy for getting around the house. It gets around the whole of my downstairs unlike my old one the Vax Mach Air pets and family (U89-MA-PF) which only had a 6 metre power cord and it picks up more than my old one and it reaches to the top of the stairs with the supplied extension hose and handle as a wand and it has 4.4 metre reach when using the hose so I can clean a full flight of stairs. If you could get your hands on a Vax Air Reach (U90-MA-R) I'll defo watch your video

Great Video :)

UltraPerformer says:

Just been checking out the assessors available and the multifloor brushroll seems still not be to available like you can get on the Hoover version. I wonder if one could import one as thats the only thing now and the price stopping me going for it. One thing I do like about the Dyson turbine tool is the carbon fibre brushes for hard floor.

UltraPerformer says:

Would have been nice to have seen the filter like you did on the bissell video 🙂

Scott D says:

Hi Roger, just wondering what your thoughts were on this machine compared to the airram. It was your video on that machine which convinced me to get one, and I am very happy with it. Now I'm starting to want one of these!
