I am excited to be reviewing the new Tineco Ifloor! Its is a cordless wet dry vacuum, so basically it’s a cordless version of the Bissell Crosswave. We put it though a lot of tests and this video will be the results and our review, so links in the description for current prices and lets get started.
So first the basics. The Ifloor can be used to pick up dry material from hard floors or carpets like a regular vacuum, but its main use is for washing hard floors, whether for big nasty spills, or for regular light mopping jobs, basically its an electric mop that you don’t have to vacuum before using, since its also a vacuum.
It is cordless so you’ll want to charge it up, fill up the clean water tank with warm water and 1 cap of the included solution.
You press either the on button or the spot button which spins the brush faster, basically its a high power mode, you push the trigger which sprays the water- solution mix, make a few wet passes followed by a few passes without the trigger pressed to dry the floor.
Moving on to the tests. Starting with simple wet spills, it picked the grape juice up in one back and forth pass with no visible residue which was pretty impressive.
I then increased the thickness of the spills, picking up Thousand island dressing and yogurt, again the pickup ability was fantastic and there was very little residue for so few passes, in fact I think it did better than the crosswave in terms of residue at this point. For a super messy spill I used spagettios and its pickup was really good but it did require a number of passes to clear the area of residue. Though agin it was slightly better than the Bissell crosswave with regard to residue at this point.
We then did a test with dried on residue of mostly grape juice and v8 which were dried to a sticky hard consistency. Here the results depended on how fast I went and how much liquid was used. For example it took about 15 passes moving pretty fast with the larger dried spills but in the 1 tablespoon test it picked up all the material in 3 passes, technically the same as the others but I might even say that the Ifloor had the best showing after each pass, so its pretty good at cleaning tough stains.
I also did a real world test where I used it to clean actual dried spots on the studio floor. As I will discuss when we get to the negative stuff. I think this type of use is the best way to use the ifloor and it did really well, and was very easy to maneuver with its lightweight construction and of course being cordless helped as well.
A few other positive things about the Ifloor is the price in many ways the ifloor is a copy of the Bissell crosswave but its cordless, AND its quite a bit cheaper so that is a big plus.
I also like that it really only takes a capful of the solution to work instead of quite a bit of solution with the Bissell crosswave.
Its also a little quieter than the crosswave
With all they said lets move on to the negative stuff
The first thing I didn’t like is that if the water crosses the max line on the dirty water tank, you will hear a tone change and it will start leaking from the bottom of the unit, until you turn off the motor. The odd thing about this is that I never overfilled the clean water tank so you would think it wouldn’t max out the dirty water tank, I think the soap makes the water more bubbly and thus causes the the dirty water tp cross the max line faster. But even weirder is I didn’t even use any cleaning solution for the last 7 tests or so, only water, but still it would max out the dwt and start leaking once dirty water crossed the max line .

Ilife w400 vs iRobot brava M6
Floor washing robot
Especially carpet detection.
Thanks.
Have you ever considered doing the Rainbow or Hyla? Seriously I love your videos! Best youtube videos/reviews I've seen!!
At least 3 times more work to clean the machine than to use paper towels and a mop, which as well is cordless.
Now…for a self cleaning version. Then we can talk! lol
(I believe that you are still getting bubbles
even though you are using only waterbecause the puffy roller is holding the soap and not rinsing completely clean)I need a reasonable priced vacuum for hard floor, one that wont get pet hair all tangled up in it. I am so confused because there are so many of them and some of them are so expensive.
I have a new apartment (900 square feet) and got the Neato D6 (per your videos) and love it. However its about 2/3 vinyl (wood plank) flooring and the rest is carpet. i wanted to get a vacuum to deal with spills and to clean the vinyl from spills and just regular stuff and I don't really want to mop… 🙁 I was hoping to spend less for what is going to be a backup/mop but this seems to be exactly what i need. Do you have any other suggestions that might do the trick for less?
What about the hoover floormate deluxe? Also what about corners how wide is it? Code where I am states toilet must be 12" away from walls and a well designed unit will fit. I use my Hoover on the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom tile, wood floors is not something I would use water on.
I'd love to see more on these electric mops. I have the corded bissel and I am not impressed because it leaves too many streaks on my hardwood floors. Can you find a way to show the streaks left behind by the tineco?
Cant wait when we will have cordless electric mop, steam mop. Tired of those cords
(Question)
Hi!
Love your videos, very informational and have helped me with making informed decisions.
I was wondering if you plan on doing a review for the Miele Scout RX2 robovac?
I'm having a hard time finding shipping for this to EU – would you have any idea if they are marketed under a different brand name or model outside the US?
Im dissapointed that crosswave failed😩😩😩
Wow, compared to Hizero, The Price Is Right!! Agree that the real world use-case is as a mop replacement. If I drop yogurt, grape juice or Spaghettios (does anyone eat those things anymore?), I'll clean it in seconds with a paper towel.
I didn't have the problem you had with the dirty water falling out of the bottom of the unit when the tank was full. Of course, I usually empty it fairly quickly when I hear a pressure change. You forgot to mention how QUIET the iFloor is compared to the Bissell!!!
Can you do a Deebot ozmo 930 review. 🥺🥺
Are you going to do the Hoover floor mate? Also, how is the suction and is the battery removable on this machine?
Can you also do suction tests to see how well it works with dry pickup?
They definitely copied the bissell crosswave. Surely bissell has some patents with their machines.
Good video. I bought a neato because of you and happy so far. Has some quirks like zone cleaning might be work always but I still like the automation!
A big spill is not everyday cleaning so I am more interested in regular cleaning capabilities. A good compare on that with two leading product categories like crosswave style and steam mop, even a regular mo would be a good video. 🙂
