I am replacing my cordless Vertex with the Stratos you reviewed last year. Mine is four years old, it cracked at the joint but besides that it’s been the most amazing vacuum. I really hope the Stratos lives up to it!
I have the shark. My only complaint is the top edge of the handle will dig into your handle after
A few minutes of use. It’s not comfortable to use. I’m going to add some type of grip to mine to soften the edge. Otherwise it’s great.
Got the shark vertex 2 years ago and love it but I’ve had to replace the dust cup once and need to again already as it loses its ability to fully clasp shut and falls open at random while I’m using it
Why would someone buy Dyson over this?
I have this vacuum and it’s great! A con for me is the foldable joint part wore out after about a year and a half of owning it. I do use that vacuum a lot, as I have 4 hairy dogs. However, I was able to solve that problem by ordering that particular part from Shark for $40.
I have this
I want to THANK YOU for keeping your videos so short and to the point. I’m not sure what the algorithm does for others but there are too many creators making these 25 minute videos that drag on through unboxings and tests, and blah blah. Your content is absolutely unparalleled in this space, and I’d love to see this format continue to expand well beyond vacuums!!
I have shark and dyson. I love the shark
It’s NOT better than the shark detect pro
due to your recommendation i got one last year. so far so good. i do wish it can stand without folding, and i had to do a little modification to get a hose attachment to work.
@vacuumwars can you please make a best carpet cleaner? I think i need to upgrade

(edit: previously pasted comment to this channel on "Roomba" repair)
Greetings, I come in peace, having nothing to sell, neither am I a robot, with the express purpose of putting you on constructive notice that I have, without any coercion, became a voluntary new subscriber hereto this wonderful channel,
hoping that you may find substantial satisfaction in the taking of this for no more nor any less than which it actually obviously is,
after watching this extremely interesting episode of applied vacuum cleaner theory, apparently, you are indeed the exact guy to come to with this sickeningly disturbing question that I'm sure most all of us "Rhomba" owners must face sooner or later during our time of possession, care and proper maintenance concerning an unlikely although conceivably otherwise most probable warranty invalidation contingent on the occurrence of the following event,
hypothetically:
let's say I, or someone else similarly situated, were to, of coarse, accidently, do something unexpectedly untypically extraordinary which somehow caused the entirety of the known universe to actually collapse back in upon itself,
while realizing that I, or whomsoever else, would be the sole responsible cause of said event leading to any subsequent voidance of my own warrantee, or whomsoever else's own warrantee, the same would fall upon whichever relevant actor,
however, what I am and perhaps as many others are wondering is:
is there any legal precedent or other incoherently complicated reason that you might know of which could possibly hold myself, or whomsoever else, liably accountable for the actual or perceived damage encountered by other relevant parties pursuant to such an unfortunate, nevertheless, disruption of expectation from, by and/or of equal voidance of all of the other active valid warrantees due to this specifically said action on my, or whosoever else's, part ?,
– if, the entirety of this determined universe should ever again unfold thereby recreating precisely this specific timeline in its entirety, including everything except that all "Roomba" warrantees would then be dishonored for some strange nonsensical unforeseeable cause or reason, could I, or whomsoever else, because of this particularly unexplainable overwhelming paradox, be considered still liable for said injury to the unfulfilled enjoyment concerning all each otherwise validatable warrantees ? and if so – how so ?,
and now as I must thank you very much for your most precious time, effort and energy please know that I shall also be eagerly awaiting what will be your most appreciated and learned answer, further, may you and yours have an exceptionally very blessed day with an even better tomorrow – sincerely . . .

you're an awesome vacuum guy you're perfect
What was the reason you picked this version over the powered lift away version from last year?

I just bought this one! I'm glad I made a good purchase!
I own a OG Shark Vertex and I regret the purchase. It clogs CONSTANTLY. for every minute I spend vacuuming I spend double that cleaning it out.
I can confirm that this shark vacuum won't get tangled up with hair. I have 4 daughters and they all have long hair (so do I) and I never had to pull hair out of the brushes. I also have one mid tier Roomba and one top tier and I have to pull our hair out daily and our hair constantly snaps the roller brushes long before they are supposed to be replaced. So definitely 10/10 for the shark.
very confused by where this sits compared to the stratos, are the referenced numbers available in a sheet to compare or does this only exist internally and the numbers make appearances in video reviews exclusively?
I'm curious why the version with the lift-away system wasn't your winner in your best cordless vacuum of 2023 video since you talked so highly off of it's feature set a few years ago.
Test Kirby vacuums
I bought the Stratos on eBay as a supposedly returned unit for around 200 shipped. Very happy with it and the power head almost never plugs up with the debris my parrots make. There wasn't a 2 battery option as it was pretty new and I still haven't found a deal on another battery yet.
My old original Duo clean the hose in the head was constantly plugging up with bird seed it couldn't pull through the hose so I upgraded the vacuum. Only bad part is batteries for the old one were easy to find cheap and I had 2 Chargers and 4 batteries for it.
Why don't you ever assess repairability in your reviews? Just about all of these cordless and mainstream brands are some of the most unrepairable junk you'll ever deal with. These brands don't even sell you wear parts like brush rolls or belts, it is totally unreasonable. Vacuum's have been repairable since the 2000's
Bummer that Shark has seemingly abandoned the lift-away Vertex Pro. I really like mine and prefer that form factor.
So you are now saying this Vertex Pro is now the best mid level vacuum. I purchased the Stratos because you said that the Stratos was the best mid level vacuum for 2023.
Stratos Cordless defeated this Vacuum awhile back
How does this compare to the vertex pro liftaway. The cordless upright version of this
