Shark Vertex Powered Lift Away Upright Vacuum Review – Vacuum Wars

Shark Vertex on Amazon: https://geni.us/4m5ZwWJ
I really liked the Shark Vertex. It has a ton of power and with the Duoclean roller is has very good pickup on hard floors and carpet. After you take into account all the other bells and whistles I think its safe to say there is a new king of upright vacuums in town.

Here is a list of our favorite vacuums

Robbie Gossett says:

This guy is awesome, I love his reviews and every-time I see vacuum commericials I use and trust his option.

Ray Gamma says:

Picked it up last night at Kohl's. It's $399.99. 100$ off (499.99-100.00) -10$ (veterans day code)-30% (kohl's coupon or credit card purchase) =272.99 +tax. model AZ-2002. It doesn't have a few extra tools and the steam mop you can get for over 400 directly from shark.

Patricia DeWood says:

Are the wands and floor heads compatible with the APEX parts?

Clint Blankenship says:

Are the power attachments the same as the Apex? Or do I need to go out and buy them again?

Fleshbits says:

Seeing how this is $425, I'd love to know how this stacks up vs commercial vacuums like the Hoover Commercial CH54013, which is less expensive.

Marie Finan says:

Which would you say has the best suction of all vacuums?

DAPy Land says:

Bissell has got to love you by now… lol

Casper Realov says:

how does the dirt cannister empty? I always found it tough actually getting the dirt out without having to use hands, does that change at all?

SHABBY3 LILLIMO says:

Am I really the first one to ask if that floor nozzle can fit on the Apex DuoClean? I love mine but I sure would like to just buy the head for only $90 rather than buying a new vacuum.

christianbond009 says:

Really awesome review, thank you! I look forward to a review on the cordless vertex. I have concerns about the weight and battery life. Sure it has the same great brush system of the vertex lift-away, but does it suffer from the same pitfalls of other stick vacuums?

Tyler Crabtree says:

5:03 ok that is really really really dirty

ephektz says:

I just had my second Shark Apex die. Shark vacuums work really well, but they’re made with chewing gum and prayers. You cannot buy parts for these vacuums, either. Shark as a vacuum: good. Shark as a company: terrible.

Quick edit: this one only made it 6 months. The power head died. Same as the last one.

PinkPower4 says:

Shark needs to either provide an extension hose or make the included one stretchier. I returned the Apex because the vacuum kept falling over when trying to use the hose with tools. Not sure the lack of access cover is a good thing in the powerhead.

Eric Errisuriz says:

Would love to see this Shark vs Dyson 11 🤔

Ethan Falkiewicz says:

Literally everyone: review the vertex cordless
Vacuum wars: ingonores all those comments and comments on the stupid ones

Kutluhan GĂĽlbahar says:

Will you do a review on the cordless version of this vacuum

Lena Artis says:

Thank you, I’m glad I stumbled across your page. I’ve been looking for two weeks on diff shark vacuums. I now know which to buy and it’s the vertex.

Myraida Toledo says:

Shark have a new rotator with the new duo clean lift away technology (Shark® Rotator® Lift-Away® ADV Upright Vacuum with DuoClean® PowerFins™ and Self-Cleaning Brushroll) is more affordable, how does this compare to the vertex? my house is full tile floors

Diego 1 says:

best vacuum of 2020?

ed glauner says:

Vacuum Wars how much does the vertex cost

Jeremy Koehn says:

So does the hair test mean that it didn't vacuum hair or that it vacuumed the hair just didn't wrap?

Kissten Joseph says:

can you do a segment on floor/carpet sweepers manual and electric

Chiquita GoneBananaz says:

I want this vacuum so badly

That's not My name says:

He shows the gauge but not the floor head airflow. Just hose… The floor head airflow is more important than end of hose

Jeff Bouchee says:

Shark Vertex I purchased about 2 weeks ago. I'm a self employed carpet cleaner. I use in about 15 houses per week. This is the best vacuum I've used in many years.
The only thing I didn't like was the delay in brush roll power up. Takes like 5 seconds to get up to speed. It's mine just bad or any others have this issue?

DT D says:

Unable to access the roller head like Apex and other older Shark models is the biggest Con here. Thanks for the review, just bought my Apex and plan to return for Vertex, I guess I won't do that anymore.

Cindy Scharr says:

How about doing a demo on removing the soft roller cleanup? I currently own a shark rotator powered lift away which is less than four years old. The hose for the motorized swivel head is cracked and there is no way to replace it. I loved the machine and it did a wonderful job, but now is worthless. Do you have a suggestion?
