Shark Stratos Review (IZ862H) – 12+ Tests and Analysis

Shark Stratos (IZ862H) on Amazon – https://geni.us/j9XGs5v

The latest updated list of cordless vacuums we recommend: https://www.consumeranalysis.com/guides/cordless-vacuums/best-cordless-vacuum/

In this video we test the cordless Shark IZ862H Stratos for raw power (CFM and suction), long term suction (flour clog test), surface level pickup (on carpet and hard floors), deep cleaning, battery life, debris containment (fog test), hair tangling, and ease of use (weight, handling, control, and dust bin size).

The Shark Stratos is a very good cordless vacuum new out of the box. Unfortunately, its pre-motor filter clogs up easily with fine debris, which results in substantial loss of suction and extensive filter maintenance over time. For these reasons, it’s not recommended as a top rated cordless vacuum.

The filters on the stratos are super easy to clean though, just basically run them under water and squeeze em out like a sponge and they’re good. Also pretty cheap for replacements on amazon at like $15 for a set of 4 (8 total). It is a bit heavy and kinda clunky compared to a lot of others, but still better than a typical corded upright. I’m pretty happy with mine.

This is $177 at walmart now – making it a far better value than the dyson v15

@philodox7599 says:

The flour in the pre engine filter. Is that really even a big deal? Just shake it out every now and again.

I'm curious how the Numatic/Henry Quick performs on your tests. I can't stand bagless vaccums, and that's the only bagged stick vaccum I am aware of.
