Great suction for small spaces This does really well on hard floors and is mainly why I bought this model. The suction is great for such a small vacuum. It picks up dust and crumbs and everything on my hardwood, rugs, carpet, and microfiber couch easily. The cord is long and cumbersome but hey: a battery charged vacuum would lose suction quickly (think minutes later) once taken off charge and the battery would quit within a couple years.
