Should you buy the Samsung Jet 90?

I would recommend the Samsung Jet 90 to people who:

Want the soft roller cleaning head: If you have a lot of hardwoods or tile flooring, the soft roller cleaning head is a really great tool. You can buy something similar after-market from Dyson for the V11, but it’s nice that Samsung includes it in the box.

Want two batteries: The Jet 90 only includes 1 battery in the standard package, however, you can purchase extra batteries. With an extra battery you can enable dual charging on the storage stand. Allowing you to charge one battery within the vacuum itself and one on the stand base.

Want solid performance: On all floor types, the Jet 90 really did a great job of cleaning all debris we threw at it, averaging about 98% overall. If you want an all-around good performance, the Jet 90 gets it done.

Should you buy the Dyson V11?

I would recommend the Dyson V11 to people who:

Want a digital display: The Samsung lacks any kind of digital display screen. Including this on the V11 tells a lot of good information like estimated remaining run time, cleaning mode, and any relevant maintenance alerts.

Excellent cleaning performance: The cleaning performance of the V11 is fantastic on all three floor types we tested it on and even though it technically has less suction than the Samsung, it actually has better performance (albeit very slight, 99% vs. 98%).

Don’t need the Fluffy cleaning head: Unfortunately, the V11 does not include the Fluffy cleaning head, which can be a useful tool for cleaning hardwoods. That being said, the performance was still excellent cleaning hardwoods with the High Torque 1.0 head so it’s hardly at a disadvantage.

Miles Dyson started the chain of events that lead to judgement day. He must be terminated.

TheProfessor says:

Nice review but sorry for the question – and maybe it was answered somewhere in this thread – but with the Jet 90, would I have to change the roller head if I move from carpet to hardwood? If so that seems like a pain…. ??

David Cantor says:

I mean i would never vacuum up cereal that I can just pick up with a broom. It’s sticky and messy in a vacuum

Zurihaha says:

Can dyson roll carpet brush fit samsung?

Phuong Doan says:

I changed from Dyson to Samsung and will never go back. I find the suction on the Jet 90 so much better than the v11.

ben zuniga says:

Dyson don't sell the soft roller Head for v11 anymore

ZippityDooDads says:

Does the J90 have lights on the floor attachment? I have an older tineco and I can vacuum in a dark room and get all the dust bunnies. I’ll miss that

I have a V11 from 2019,, and 3 weeks ago is the motorhaed defect and I text the Custom-Service about the problem,,, and they let me wait for 1 week for the solutions : to replace the whole motorhaed… and they don't have it in stock in BE/NL and also not sure when it will be back in stock… damn I think Im gonna buy a jet 75 now,,, had really enough…

Eric Osman says:

From what I have read recently, the Dyson's have the best suction and technical information on the latest models such as their V11, V15 and outsized models. The ability to dispense with the canister and clean filters seems to have been an issue that Dyson have not really mastered in 25+ years, which is why Samsung may be a better choice in terms of maintenance, as well as its power to weight ratio. Miele Triflex HX1, which was released into the market approaching 2 years ago, does not seem to have overwhelming review scores based on it's weight and canister size, so the choice for most average households is do we need a heavy, hard to maintain, bells and whistles type of cordless vacuum cleaner, or do we want something that does what it's supposed to do and clean various floor and wall surfaces with maximum suction, that is also hygenically safe to do so? Do we want to spend upwards of £500 or $675 to do so or not?
The Samsung Jet Pro seems to be reasonably priced, with above average bells and whistles, but its running costs seem potentially higher than any other make and model, so do we want to be spending £200 or $270 on additional a waste bin to protect our lungs and hands from waste collected when cleaning our floors and walls too?

Ernesto Espiritu says:

I owned a dyson and changed to jet 90 because of the cleaning station that can be bought separately. Its good for people with allegies as dust just scatters to the air when you discard the dyson container. In samsung you just have to remove the container, place it in the cleaning station = very hygeinic, no dust scattering.

Slay Jay says:

Jet 90 wins for me for ease of charging and storage. It's lighter in weight. Also, the one thing it can do that the V11 can't… it can dust tops of high shelves and furniture by bending to an angle. The V11 only cleans straight on.

Veronica Munos says:

I have the the Dyson V10 Animal and I liked it till I realized how annoying the filter can be. The filter says it drys within 24 hours but every time I deep clean my vacuum the filter takes about 3 to 4 days to dry. It's vary annoying because as a mom of 6 I need my vacuum to work every day.

Mortin Durrex says:

3:58 the Samsung doesn't have a display but still shows you critical info via light up LED symbols (powermode, maintenance)

4:17 at least the Dyson V11 is not a lightweight device! at least compared to their V8 or now even slimmer V12 – floor use is fine but handheld oder upside down use to clean the ceiling gets your limbs tired pretty much instantly

Planet Fabulous says:

Cute socks!

Theo Kool says:

purchased the v10 when it first came out but annoyed that it didn't have swap out batteries and having to wait for charging, now have the jet 90 on promotion and got a free battery, performance is top !

DXB Expat says:

Here’s my review ….This was a HUGE let down. Nearly $600 for a load of crap that cannot even lift a small piece of tissue paper of the carpet. Charge is dismal and the waste compartment always clogs at the point of extraction. The runners on the head also continually stop rotating and need on/off to reset. We will be taking it back and will exchange for what was my first choice being a company that actually make vacuums being Dyson.

aaron gramley says:

Good video. But you forgot to mention that the v11 us almost the same price as the Samsung WITH the charging stand AND the hygienic cleaning station which is worth 150-200 dollars in itself. Way better value with the Samsung. Also the Samsung at the time of this comment is only 520 dollars with the charge station and clean station included. This would be a selling point for most people with practically the same preference. Dyson is really good…but their prices are way to much comparatively

Daniel A says:

I have both vacuums the Samsung Jet 90 since day 1 when it was released here in the US, and also the Dyson V11 torque drive with the removable battery, and I must say both vacuums are amazing, but I definitely liked the Samsung more because of the charging station that came along with it, I had to buy one for the dyson and I hated that I had to spend more money for something that should’ve came with such an expensive vacuum as it is. Cleaning wise in a day to day use the dyson does clean up a little better, but it’s not much of a difference all I have to do for the Samsung is one extra pass over the same spot. Overall both vacuums are great.

Jean S says:

Samsung Jet 90 – love the stand and extra battery charging.

Update: Purchased on sale Samsung Jet™ 90 Complete Cordless Stick Vacuum with Dual Charging Station and Samsung Clean Station.™ I grabbed it when the cost came down to Sale price of $600,00. for the bundle. (The stick alone can go for that price or more,) The Clean Station is a game changer for anyone with dust allergies or would just like the convienience of not standing over the garbage can and having dust fly all over. The stand is free standing and can be hung from the wall if you prefer which I do not. So win, win for me.

Benton Melvin says:

Samsung is cheaper.
