What stick vac would you choose?
I am curious to compare a shark with similar features. Dyson is a well known vacuum that usually performs well but not the best, comes at a higher priced compared to competition.
Now do a ryobi vs Kirby comparison. I have a Kirby Gen 5 vaccum.

As for your question: I'd probably get the Dyson with the hard floor head. It would have picked up the turtles as well as the Ryobi. I have last year's version of the Ryobi and after a few uses, I was unimpressed. The head is too big to maneuver around furniture because of the double roller. The overall construction and assembly of the Ryobi vacuum is cheap and flimsy. It eats batteries like crazy. I get about 12 minutes of runtime on a 4AH battery. Need to use 3 each time I vacuum. It's not at all convenient for vacuuming a car, it's too long and unwieldly. It's nearly impossible to get replacement filters. The Ryobis are OK vacuums, but you can get better and cheaper.
