Make sure to check out the new model (P7181K). It looks like they have fixed many of the issues we had with this older model!
Over priced broom – took it back within a day. – im not one to complain but this is an absolute disgrace of a stick vacuum,
ITS SO LOUD! It’s probably 10x louder than my Dyson or my LG stick vacuum. I purchase this to help manage our dogs hair while on vacation but it’s so loud I was asked to wait until everyone left before I turn it back on for use.
Does Ryobi make a version just for hard floors? Our entire house is tile and would love one that is soft on the floor.
The 7181 version I have does have a roller off button right below the two speed, and there is an LED light, and tool-less roller removal. Also there is a pre-filter screen, and it is hard to pull the filter setup out. No falling out. You are missing a part there. The canister has a spring door up front for emptying. It is heave, so only 1 of your is currently valid. But thee weight does not bother me. It has a 70,000 rpm 45 min. run time motor compared to the newer slim model 60,000 rpm, and 30 min run time.
How the hell do I return this!? Amazon won't let me because it's been 30 days. It's shooting glass and metal back at my feet! I'm going to complain to the BBC if they don't respond to me.
Good video. Subscribed!
Got the vacuum for only around 1 year, the roller bar failed three times with pretty much similar symptom. I have got replacements from ryobi twice, but really do not want to waste my time on it anymore.
Anyone can help ID the brush roller? I need a replacement for it.
If its heavy because its got a big motor, then I don't give a rat's arse about how heavy it is.
Is design for pregnant women ?
The screen on the Ryobi vacuum constantly gets plugged and the vacuum stops sucking. It also SUPER loud. I hate it. I love my other Ryobi tools and have 8 ONE+ batteries, but this vacuum is a failure.
Can you email me? Lawluffylawlu@outlook.com my vacuum isn't spinning!!
I bought one about 6 months ago and mine has a rocker on/off button that when you press the top of the button where the ridges are, the power head turns on and off. Still a 2 speed switch at the bottom end of the switch.
I have the latest model and it doesn't have a cyclonic action with baffles. The result is that larger stuff clogs the pre filter and the fine dust clogs the final filter. This happens FAST. I have to empty the thing and use a shop vac to clean everything. Not a usable too.
Paint your drywall please. It takes away from the quality of an otherwise excellent video. IMO
great video
This is only 3lbs heavier than my current cordless stick vacuum. My upright is double the weight at about 18 lbs, which is fairly standard. Older vacuums were even heavier so I have to wonder who you think was doing most of the vacuuming in the mid to late twentieth century 🤔
"Women and Children" — I'm sure my 12 year old could handle this tool. My wife could probably pick up the video host with one arm 😀
I can't count how many times I've wished I could shut my vacuum off faster.
The roller toggle button is literally below the power button???
"this unit is heavy"
And yet don't give a weight of the unit 🙄🙄🙄
Thanks for the review. I guess it is necessary as no item pleases everyone completely. I have owned my P724 for a couple of months and have not noticed any of the things you mentioned. Perhaps it is because all my kids are grown and out of the house so the "kid factor" doesn't apply. I agree with another poster that combining 5 best and 5 worst in the same video would be productive. I'm 75 and although in pretty good shape, don't find it very heavy at all, so viewing your review without an immediate comparison would give me pause when considering it and I would miss out on what I consider a really good product. Regarding the filter falling out, I can see where that may be irritating since you would have to go get a vacuum and clean it up… oh wait… I have one in my hand! Anyway, I appear to be reviewing your review. Didn't mean to get picky. It is a good presentation and as I stated, combining best/worse in one video would be on my wish list.
My Ryobi stick sweeper is not picking up the dirt. It must be clogged how do I fix it?
It's heavy…. Heavy…. Heavy…. Ugh it's heavy… Oh… It's heavy! Do you even lift, bro?
