my dyson did the same motor burned out started with an electrical smell then shut off i guess they are all as bad. if the motor packed in on the Vax in one month (30 days…) its covered with a 2 year guarantee and 6 year on some. 28 days by law a refund and the 6 month rule applies also….. quoted:
"You must repair or replace an item if a customer returns it within 6 months – unless you can prove it wasn’t faulty when they bought it."
i gather as you mentioned Vax "know this" faulty motors?
Dear all, I warn you now, DONT buy VAX, when they are new all seems OK. BUT their motors on their cordless vacs are highly inferior, they know this and get lots of complaints, whats even more devastating to the consumer is they dismiss your contact.

this is an awful product- poor suction poor collection

Why are the Vax crevice tools so bloody short. Make this next to useless for doing the car without an extension.
