This review is fine as far as it goes, but what's more important is how the unit fares after a few months of use. Here is what I experienced with the K17 after 4 months:
– At first it worked well, especially on hard floors, though it has trouble picking up small, dense particles like pet food or small stones. Multiple passes required, even on high
– The roller brush quickly clogs up with hair and needs to be cleaned with every use. To be fair, Moosoo tells you this
– After a while the latched door for emptying the dust started to work poorly – it was hard to re – latch it…..
– Then the roller brush started to jam on carpets, and the internal drive belt slips with a dreadful screaming noise…
– Then the LED lights started to go out, especially when I turned a sharp corner (even when fully charged)
I thoroughly cleaned the head, but it doesn't fix the slipping belt and it is now unusable on carpets. I really wanted to like the K17 – it's fun to use when it works well, but so many issues in just 4 months doesn't bode well.
