MAKITA 18 Volt X2 Cordless Vacuum XCV07Z Review

FULL REVIEW:

Makita XCV07Z 18V X2 LXT Cordless Dry Vacuum

This new Makita 2.1 gallon vacuum meets OSHA Table 1 requirements based on its 99.97% filter efficiency, filter-cleaning mechanism and CFM rating.

It can be used for small drilling and chipping applications. the best part is it weighs 21.8 pounds. [including 2 batteries]

For us the compact, lightweight ability to get a cordless dust extractor operation to the jobsite was appreciated and makes following Table 1 easier.

Really interesting product. I wish I could learn more about makita products and their applications. This is a great idea in a product. You’re points ring true as well; a dirty job is a bad job any day of the week.

This is cool, great idea by makita to integrate it into the tools. I'm absolutely paranoid about respiratory protection, and I'm constantly wearing a respirator for tasks most people wouldn't. This system seems like a good investment in your safety and health.

All this cordless stuff is cool but them Lithium Iron Battery's are expensive to replace. corded tools to me really aren't that bad carbon brushes are no big deal to replace either although I would have a few corded tools though

Great review. And have you guys done a review on the Makita cut out saw you showed in the video? And any idea where I can get spare blades for the Makita cut out saw? I haven’t been able to locate any. Thanks for the great content.

On the topic of Makita tools. Makita just posted the other day on their official website that they now sell a 36 volt BRUSHLESS sds plus hammer drill.(XRH07PTU) If you guys could do a review on it that would be great! I'm thinking of buying it especially since I'm on the Makita platform. By the way I like the content on your channel and look forward to your tape measure competition so keep it up.

I really hope Milwaukee follows suit with this dual 18 volt battery design. Im hesitant to buy the miter saw and blower because I don't believe 18 volts has the power needed on the job site

Graham K says:

Will you ever be making a compact hammerdrill head to head? You have the impact h-t-h but not the drill as far as I am aware.

Stuart Cairnie says:

great video, thanks. I'm with you some tools need to be plugged in.

Craig Sater says:

dewalt 60v for life

TigerNgtMare says:

I order both the corded/cordless and also the regular cordless one.
Honestly the corded/cordless has way more power and the filter I think it’s much better. I’m very happy, it’s very compact and súper powerful!

tensazero says:

Makita BL $369 vs Ryobi $99…+ 4-4ah batteries…

Shahar Dror says:

Very good review with jobsite insites!

John EM says:

is it RRP approved?

Graham K says:

I have a few questions. Is is solely a dust extractor? Or can it be used as a general purpose shop vac as well or at least hook up to a miter saw? Did you find the capacity in the dust bag was enough?(if it’s just for masonry and concrete dust that wouldn’t be a problem, but if it is also usable on a miter saw). I know some dust systems have a thing where when the tool is on, the vac turns on automatically. Is there a version or accessory with that?

JPer says:

Could you do a comparison with the ac powered version and the festool Midi? Would love a side By side comparison With your professional take on it. Thanks for another great video and demonstration!

austin ritz says:

Do you know how the power on this vacuum compares to the backpack vacuum that Makita sells?

EJ Wu says:

Does the ac/dc version also serve as a dual battery charger?

T Willey says:

Awesome review as always Rob, thank you! Add bluetooth start to this tool and I'm going to have to stop buying Red and Yellow and start buying Blue.

ZOMBIESCAPCOM1 says:

Thanks for the Info.

The Tool Nut says:

Great review, Rob. Makita has a newer version (XCV08Z) that has "AWS" or Automatic Wireless System that can use Bluetooth with select Makita tools to remotely trigger the vac. I suspect we'll see more and more of their cordless tools coming with the AWS integrated in the future. Find this vac and others at toolnut.com.

Andrew D says:

So far every tool you review, I buy soon after!!! Keep them up!
