Review of the Lupe Pure Cordless vacuum cleaner. This was borrowed new from a friend who’d just bought one and it was not gifted for free by the company for a biased, positive review, like the worst channels out there. The decent quality comparative test data shown here, really exposes how clueless and corrupt many of the reviewers out there are, so beware.
Eratum: It is possible to remove the shroud without tools (not very clear in the manual). Nevertheless, this is a step backwards, as the best designs self-clean.

Ok so it beat THe Lupe in your tests, thats good to know. You have probably watched Vaclabs video showing the V11 getting clogged? The pathways are very narrow and this does happen frequently.
What's truly disgusting is that when you look at this product objectively, see its weaknesses and compromises, and then compare that to some of the reviews on other channels, you really see how utterly misleading and dishonest they are. They're clearly bought out and given a freebie for a positive review, and the stupid testing they do is so flawed and unrepresentative of home use. No one tries to vacuum up mountains of sand artificially injected into a shortpile carpet. Utterly stupid test. If you ever see channels testing with injected sand rather than natural (or near-natural) dust, make sure you blacklist them as misleading and incompetent, and avoid. Other things I don't like to see is 'first look videos' where they 'advertise' the product they clearly got for free, but then say nothing relevant about it, promise more in the future, but deliver nothing. That is another form of deceit because it promotes unduly. Do a proper job, be honest, or don't do it at all, otherwise you'll incur rightful criticism. It's about time people started standing up to this nonsense. Don't be bought out like a corrupted puppet.
One thing I didn't mention in this video is the small print on Lupe's website. To return it, you have to send it back yourself, making sure it's insured for the full value (which is expensive). After they've assessed it for damage, they may then issue you your refund. Stories in comments below about people losing out on hundreds of pounds when their machine 'didn't arrive back' etc. Better companies out there make the returns process much easier and less risky. I like the idea of a startup coming to market, but this is not very customer friendly, and the product itself does not seem to match the bold claims they make, which I find very repulsive and misleading.
Me again.
I've had a Lupe, it has now been sent back.
There are a few things you haven't explained properly, or haven't bothered to find out. You can easily take apart the entire bin assembly with no tools. The black cyclone housing simply pulls out. There are tabs either side of where the green filter sits. This is in the instructions, so we can assume you didn't read them.
To help your Dyson cause, you could have mentioned the bruhsbar rates in the opposite direction to the black roller, which is why it doesn't groom carpets properly, meaning you nearly have to vacuum back to front as to how you usually would, and it feels awkward pushing and pulling it.
I had exactly the same issue with the head not sticking to the floor. I found its to do with the black hose on the floored being way too stiff. I tried to prematurely break it in with heat and stretching it, and that helped slightly but not enough.
I found the attachment set good quality, especially the soft dusting brush, but the hose design is piss poor as you said, and the suction isn't great as you rightly pointed out.
Build quality felt top notch and the tolerances are fantastic, but im not sure of its longterm durability, as ive become sceptical of joints and parts in things like vacuums having no give. Wings on a plane are designed to flex to absorb impact, probably explains why doesn't feel flimsy, they hold up incredibly well.
The price has been £499 for several months now, although they have yet to lower their RRP.
No motorised hand tool is a real issue, and im not sure how they could implement this in the future without a redesign.
The trial policy is very misleading, and they expect you to send the item back yourself, insure the costs and anything that happens to a sparkle. I made the grave mistake of sending mine back with Hermes, who lost the parcel, so I never received my £500 back. I have a case against Hermes underway right now. I have half a mind to contact Lupe as I feel they are somewhat liable for peddling the free trial but in small print, stating that its the customers responsibility to send it back. Dyson, Shark and others provide that service themselves. Totally wrong.
Otherwise, listening through the unashamedly Dyson fan-boy spiel, I find myself generally agreeing with you. It isn't as slick nor as refined, or as good as a V11 for sure.
I knew that lupe was complete shite. Outdated tech. Can’t beat a Dyson.
