Thanks for this video, I have the Athlet, although I thought I'd cleaned it – clearly I hadn't! Thanks for the demo, much appreciated.

milchani says:

You know… I could have been doing this for 7 minutes and my vacuum would have been cleaned by now instead of just sitting here watching this dude do it. I still enjoy it tho.

can we use the brush bar without the roller (that one full of hair) when we do the normal/wood floors and put in the roll only for carpets? thank you

Hello and thanks for this informative video.
One question though: I have got a BCH6ATH25. At first, the motor used to start and stop without making any unnatural sound. But after 2 days, it makes a whistling noise which is most hearable when the motor is being turned off.
Maybe this is normal for the ball-bearings or the armature to make this noise…
Could you please tell me if your device makes a similar whistling noise?
I really want to know if this is normal. Thank you…

I have cleaned all filters and the brush but have a rattle noise. Seems to be the silver rod that the brush slides over, can this be loose ?

Despite the handle on my appliance being absolutely solid, I still took apart and cleaned with WD40 – seems to have worked. Thanks. Does anyone know if its okay to leave plugged in all the time?

This is a job I probably wouldn't have undertaken in full without having viewed your video. In the event, it was very straightforward. Great stuff and many thanks!

Michael Jackson says:

Do you need a certificate to do this? I mean you need to go to a university to learn all these steps. It's so complicated it needs this video training. Thanks for doing it, I won't buy this product.

John Potter says:

Thanks for this, I have found the rubber strip at the base collects dust leaving dust stripe on the carpet, so a stiff narrow brush to dig out this collection point or a terminal screwdriver to pry out one end, to slide out remainder. (Note. 8 screw head assemble)

sue smith says:

I would never let mine get that dirty. I empty the canister and clean the filter bits on each clean. After empty the canisters I clean mine with a damp microfibre cloth

stonemere says:

Excellent informative video. Many thanks for posting.

MrHerodotas says:

Useful video, but I have had a hell of a job getting the plastic casing back on where the large filter is at the back of the cleaner. In fact, part of it has cracked under the strain and I have had to leave out some white gauze which was located underneath the black foam filter. i will never attempt to remove this again.
