Great video. When I reassembled it I put the body onto the handle before doing the torx assembly part. I thought it was easier to snap the body onto the handle while squeezing the jesus clip before putting it all together. Also I run some carpet cleaning dust through the newly assembled vacuum.

Thank you for this video! I had no idea how to clean the purple filter on my dyson. I could see dirt in it but didn't know how to get it off to clean it! Your video was awesome!
My husband used mine, yey! then washed the cup , didn't tell me, now it won't hold a charge for more than a few seconds . Has the circuit board been wet , do you know if its fixable thanks.

This mook is very gun ho ,looks a bag of nerves and is pretty heavy handed whilst stripping the motor .
Great video brother it helped me out a ton. My Dyson was bought new. But it says store display. So I got it dirt cheap. And I love this vacume.

Thank you for the detailed instructions! I'm taking the whole thing apart today. I've never used the Etork screwdriver for the main body yet. I'm sure after a few years that mine is cringeworthy. Luckily, my husband has the Etork .
I came here to find out how to service our Dyson. This was the ducks nuts. Same as everyone else, I paused when I needed to and played it when I got past that point. Fortunately I had the tools required to complete the task so that wasn't an issue. I actually really liked the amount of detail we stripped it down to. I got it looking like brand new.
One issue I have though is: next time you do something like this could you please turn off your dish washer. Ya had me looking around like an idiot trying to find what it was that I had beeping at me.

Brilliant. I followed your instructions, putting on pause whilst I completed each step. My Dyson had lost most of its suction, now it's like new! Thanks for posting this film, its saved me a load of money and I'm chuffed to bits that I managed to do this without ant maintenance experience.
