If you’re wondering if DeWalt Stealthsonic Technology Vacuums really are quiet, and do in fact live up to the hype, this is the video for you! In this Steve’s Garage video I’ll be comparing a DeWalt DXV12P-QT to three different vacuums I own. After my previous video where I compared it to a Ridgid Shop Vac, I wanted to see how it would measure up to two household vacuums I own. The results may surprise you, so be sure to watch the whole thing!
I’ll be taking decibel readings of the DeWalt Shop Vac and then comparing them to the decibel readings from a cordless handheld Dyson Vacuum, a corded standup Shark Vacuum, and lastly a Ridgid Shop Vac.
DeWalt makes a 12 and a 9 gallon vacuum that use their Stealthsonic Technology. These vacuums can be identified by the -QT at the end of the model number. There is a 10 gallon that ends in -P which uses a dual stage motor for quiet operation, but it isn’t technically a Stealthsonic vacuum.
