Hoover Clik 7.2V Hand Held Vacuum Cleaner Review & Demonstration

In this video I demonstrate the Hoover Clik hand held cordless vacuum cleaner on a variety of items that you may spill in the average kitchen.

After an overview of the machine and its various features, I spread some flour, rice, salt, instant coffee and couscous onto the kitchen worktop and try to remove it all using the Hoover Clik.

Initially it cleans quite well, but the filter is easily blocked by fine particles, reducing the suction and the effectiveness of the machine.

The Hoover Clik 7.2 Volt rechargeable vacuum cleaner is stylish, comfortable to hold, lightweight and compact, but the suction is weak and gives a mediocre performance. It comes complete with a built in crevice tool and brush, plus a wall mountable charging base.

Smart looking little vacuum. But sadly I think it's just crying out for mains power. Same goes for the classic Black & Decker Dustbuster.

Poor thing sounds like it's going to blow up! I had actually really been looking forward to this review, this is very different than most of what we get over here. Shame it's so poor, I wonder if the 9.6 volt version with the self cleaning filter is any better.
Roger, I assume you do get quite a few unsolicited recomendations, and I hope not to offend you by offering one of my own. But if you ever do develop an interest in another cordless cleaner, I can whole heartedly reccomend the Black and Decker flex. I had one for a number of years, great suction, filtration, and unmatched versatility.
Thank you for continuing to make these videos, they are always a delight.

Vax in the UK is basically Hoover and dirt devil in the U.S. That's kind of funny how there are two different brands for the same vacuums

Ian Meen says:

Is there a cordless machine you would recommend for car cleaning, Roger? (Bearing in mind I'm currently unemployed and can't really afford/justify spending more than £50.) I've seen a few Vax machines on Amazon but most of the reviews are very mixed. My Dad has a Black and Decker that plugs into the cigarette lighter but, though it is very good, I'd prefer a cordless one. Thank you.

Motor in it is running at very low speed. Much lower than any handheld cleaner I have ever used.
It's clearly the reason why it has poor suction.

Nick Wilkes says:

Get in your basement, the tornado sires are going off… Oh wait… that's the vacuum ;)
