Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Hoover Air Cordless 2-in-1 Hand Vacuum. Link to Vacuum: http://amzn.to/2FrCwOG The vacuum measures 17.5 inches long, 4.2 inches wide and 4.7 inches in height. Included is one 20 volt lithium ion battery and charger, crevice tool, turbo tool, reusable washable filter and instruction manual. The vacuum is lightweight at 2.1 pounds.
When you first get the unit, charge the battery. Plug the charger into an outlet. Put the battery in the charger and push down on the back. It’ll snap into place. It takes about 9 hours to charge fully. The solid blue charger light means the battery is charging. The blue leds on the battery will also light up. When the charger light goes off, that means the battery is fully charged. A flashing blue means leave battery on the charger it’s too hot or cold to charge. Flashing red means there’s something wrong and you should call Hoover customer support. Press the blue release button and lift the battery after charging. Press this blue button in the front of the battery to check the charge level. 3 bars is 75 to 100% charged. 2 bars is 50% and one bar is 25%. Run time is about 15 minutes consistent with most handheld vacuums. To use the vacuum, put the charged battery in the vac and you’ll hear a click. Roll the power switch to turn on.
If you want to use the crevice tool, slide it in. The motorized turbo tool is for cleaning stairs and upholstery. Align the pins and insert.
Press the dirt cup release button to open the cup. Press the blue tabs and lift out. Empty the cup. This is the filter that is reusable. Pull tab to remove the filter. After 4 to 6 uses, rinse in warm water for 2 minutes. Dry well before putting it back into the vacuum. Put the separator back into the cup and snap into place.
To clean the turbo tool, squeeze the blue button and pull out the brush roll. Clean it and snap it back in place.
This hand vac fits into Hoover’s 2-in-1 full size vacuum cleaner to clean carpet and floors. This battery can be used with other Hoover vacuums.
I like that it’s comfortable to hold and lightweight. The suction is powerful which is the most important thing for me in a handheld vacuum. Another plus to this vacuum is that suction is strong even when battery life is not full. As for the noise level, it’s average, not loud at all. It’s not that high pitched, ear shattering noise you can get with certain inexpensive handhelds. The cordless aspect is very convenient, I can take this to my car and not worry about plugging a cord in or finding an extension cord.
