Glad I came across this review. We have had two Ergo Rapido which both died after about 3 years. We did not plan to buy another but they don't make them now anyway. I wonder if they've changed the head of the Q7 now because when I looked at them in the shops here thet seem to have a fitting that looks to be more suitable for tiles as it's pretty smooth with no brushes at all, unless that's just a protective cover or something which is switchable? Looks good but still undecided. The description on their website says "designed for hard floors" which is a problem as we have a few rugs around too. So I need to pay double the price of the Rapido for a vacuum that only does half the job so I will have to buy yet another vacuum to do the job that this can't. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me. Bosch here we come.

Thank you so much for your very full and useful review. A feature of this vacuum, which I have now bought, is the low weight. I have arthritis in my hands and when I used a friends Dyson, I found all that battery weight being up near the handle very uncomfortable on my hands. This is perfect for me for everyday use and I have another standard Hoover for more intense cleaning.

We got one and leaving it charging all the time, however, few days ago, we started noticing that it suddenly disconnects (in few minutes) ! We switch it on again, it works but disconnects again – do you have an explanation to that?
