Ecovacs X1 Omni Review – 10+ Tests and Analysis

X1 Omni on Amazon – https://geni.us/6Ah4M

The latest updated list of robot vacuums we recommend: https://www.consumeranalysis.com/guides/robot-vacuums/best-robot-vacuum/

We tested the X1 Omni which features two spinning mopping pads and comes with a dock that automatically empties its dust bin, cleans and dries its mopping pads, and refills its reservoir.

The X1 Turbo is almost identical, but its dock does not automatically empty its bin. So it’s essentially an X1 Omni with a focus on self-cleaning mopping.

The X1 Plus is also almost identical to the X1 Omni, but its dock doesn’t self-clean its mop. So it’s essentially an X1 Omni with a focus on vacuuming. It also doesn’t have two mopping pads that rotate. It features a single mopping pad that’s dragged across the floor.

In this video we analyze the X1’s carpet (general and deep cleaning), hard floor, edge, and hair (human and pet) pickup performance. We also discuss the robot’s raw performance (CFM and suction), mopping (our comments here will mostly apply to the Turbo and especially the Omni model), navigation and coverage, small obstacle detection and avoidance, battery life, bin size, and noise output.

Good to see you in the big leagues with the flagships! I had a terrible experience with Ecovacs. Buggy software, poor navigation, terrible support. Right now it feels like the Xiaomi ecosystem is the way to go in this space.

Disappointing, especially for the price
