Fully charge your machine before using it for the first time, connect to the charger either directly or in the docking station.
The blue LEDs – on each side of the battery – will flash on and increase in level during charging. When the battery fully charged, the LEDs will then go out.

when I bought a shark I kept it plugged in and charging all day and then it wouldn't work anymore. Will that happen with the shark v8?
