Who Should Buy the Dyson V8 Vacuum?

The Dyson V8 is a powerful unit that offers one of the longest run times we have seen from a cordless stick vacuum.

Several cleaning accessories and multiple cleaning configurations are offered by this Dyson vacuum, creating one of the most versatile vacuum cleaners in the industry.

I would recommend the Dyson V8 if you’re looking for the following features in a vacuum:

Cordless unit with a good run time – The Dyson V8 has the ability to last up to 40 minutes when fully charged. As a cordless vacuum, this is one of the best run times we have seen. That said, if placed on Max mode, the run time drops down to 7 minutes.

Strong suction – The suction on this Dyson vacuum is extremely strong on all indoor surfaces. If normal mode isn’t enough, users have the option of kicking the unit into max mode, which will increase the suction power dramatically.

A 2-in-1 vacuum – The Dyson V8 Absolute can be used as a stick vacuum or a handheld vacuum. Simply remove the wand from the main portion of the vacuum and you have yourself a handheld vacuum cleaner.

Don’t mind a higher price tag – Although a strong performer in most areas, the V8 is not an inexpensive vacuum. Dyson is no stranger to a higher price point, so you will need to be sure you’re comfortable spending a little extra on this V8 vacuum.

Literally my dream job

Christian Lucero says:

Spent $400 on this V8 at the end of 2018. Went thru 2 battery replacements at $129 from Dyson. Do the math on how convenient this high maintenance vacuum will cost you in the short term. Dyson says it's normal for Ion batteries to have this kind of lifetime if used frequently and for long periods.

GameOver says:

Keep it clean and it’s the best vac I’ve used. Ever. Been through 10 and they all SUCKED compared to the freedom of no cord light weight and best suction ever. 3 years going strong.

Edo says:

After 4 years! still very happy! battery is starting to die though (high power = 4mn max) Just need to replace the soft purple strips below the head brush (5$ only on amazon). I'v never been bothered by the small volume of the dust bean. gonna stick to it (new models are sexy but so expensive).

Derek Lai says:

The battery would never last more than 2 years

MouseC says:

You reference Max mode far more than it's necessity merits. I find very few circumstances in which it's needed.

Ange Lar says:

Hello, thank you for this video! Would the V8 handle the Anti Tangle Hair Screw Tool of the V15, if I would buy it as an add-on? Or would it harm the power circuits?

jake rarick says:

dude slooowwwwww it down talking. it's verry hard to understand when the words get jumbled

Silver Shine says:

my v8 has pretty weak suction, I contacted dyson and they said that is was a weaker model so be careful which model you buy. I though they are all at the same power but apparently not

Mohammed Hamza says:

after some time if fluffy rollor gets dirty..can it be washed or cleaned?

Lee O'Brien says:

I recently purchased the V8 Animal. It broke after 2 days of use, and Dyson has refused to honor its guarantee…. their excuse is that I can't explain how or why it broke. That is because I simply don't know!! I am infuriated and do not recommend this brand

Su El Moussaoui says:

The best dyson v8 review I've ever watched 👏

John Lopez says:

I have the v10 total clean. After 2 years, theres a part of the dust bin that broke off. When you empty the dust bin it will slide then it will stop and open the bin. The part that stops it broke off so now my dyson aint really sanitary. I have to use my hands now when it comes to emptying my bin. Another thing that concerned me after using my dyson for 2 years is the trigger. My dyson trigger seem to be sinking and i really have to press it hard.

Plump Cat says:

Where I live the v8 absolute is $250 less than the v10 absolute 🤷‍♂️

Charlene Butler says:

My Dyson V8 will not work longer than 30 seconds on MAX even without an accessory attached. I have purchased a new battery and a new motor, but it still won't work on MAX.

Jacob says:

My battery in my V8 Animal is absolute garbage. I get maybe 30 seconds of runtime on High. Maybe 2 minutes on low. I'm so disappointed. Dyson said that my warranty was up in October and there's nothing they can do. Confirmed it's a bad battery. I bought the Dyson Ball Animal 2 since my apartment was mostly carpet. Now we are moving into a new home with mostly hard floors. Considering buying the Shark IQ w/ Self Emptying bin. For the money, seems like a great robot. Whats your opinion on the Shark IQ Modern Castle? 1800sqft single level home with one dog.
