One of my son's bought me a Dyson for Christmas a few years ago, I love it. Battery life was an issue for me. My solution to the battery not lasting long, was to order an adapter from Amazon to replace the battery so I can now use my DeWalt 5Amp Hour batteries. I have plenty od DeWalt batteries. There are adapters available for other battery manufacturers.
