I have a Dyson and it's fine unless I let the floor go for a week. Then it can not handle the Husky hair. Decent machine but too expensive and Dyson tech support ignored me. That blue filter on the back has to be washed every other use now. It's $40 to replace it.

I’ve owned the Dyson V8 for 2 years now and love it

Stefan Jefferson says:

How is that a vacuum war? It was simply look at the box and see what they each come with comparison. Anyway i'm off to watch the kids sports day tug of war…..No actual teams just a piece of rope on the floor……the right side wins as the left side was frayed slightly.

Nassos Papathanasiou says:

Very good.>>> t.co/3z9XdbPLqW  I enjoy it and use it with pleasure. It replaced our old Vacuum cleaner. I am looking for an additional half long stick to prolong and ease the cleaning for a high person.

Ehud Benjamin says:

You can't review what you don't own!

Matthew Hawkins says:

Shark are shit I hate their circles I mean why urgh it looks cheap I mean the new Dyson v10 you hang it on a wall it is a talking point to everyone how is it etc

Sean Albright says:

good review, good info

Rodrell Green says:

I don't recommend Dyson V8 on 3+ bedroom homes with carpet. In spite of what you're told, the vacuum does not have great suction. I've noticed plenty of dirt and Husky hairs left behind. I literally could spend the entire 10 minutes on high power on the living room carpet of our old rental. Let one of those snake oil salesman (Kirby) to clean your carpet and you'll see. Also compared to a corded Dyson and again, V8 was no match. I doubt the Shark is significantly better either. Get this for hard floors or you'll regret it if you honestly reflect on Dyson V8's performance and not it's name

The Vac Mat says:

It only gives you 9 mins on the shark with tools on max and 14 on standard tool attached

The v8 has 3.5 hours!

The Vac Mat says:

It gives you 22 mins per battery on shark on low

David Osborne says:

You gave the first round to shark ….. as it has 2 batteries ??? if the battery was good enough then you would only need 1 like the syson has. Would you buy a car that had 2 engines ??? no as it would show that only 1 engine is not powerful enough to run it . 2nd round The battery on the shark is advertised as 22 mins per battery and this is when used with a non motor tool when you use it with a motor head on it then battery is reduced to about 12 mins and if then on max mode then you get about 7 mins .. 3rd round The re charge time you talk of is also rubbish, the Dyson machine you can use inbetween charges IE after an hour you can take the machine off charge and use it, The shark has to be fully charged and then fully drained before you can use it so there for the the dyson will be ready to use on a more regular basis. I recomend you do more research before posting vids online and even buy a machine and then you will see the true power of a dyson over the shark.

Joel Harris says:

Seriously shark products are craply built and never last as long as a dyson.

Sagi Yosef says:

Can you review the V8 carbon vs the shark?

Mr. T says:

Dyson is better your just a shark lover
