For anyone considering Dyson's new cordless vacuum cleaner, the Dyson v12 Detect Slim, see my video review here: https://youtu.be/KljsOBeHeaY

excellent review

Gloria Sanchez says:

I bought V11, but missing the fluffly accesory, should I buy one?

Oana Iliescu says:

I want a v15 with on/off button like v12

Lefty Strat says:

Using an automotive analogy, comparing the V11 to the V15 is akin to comparing a Challenger Scat Pack to a Hellcat. While the latter has a significant increase in specifications compared to the former, the real-world performance gains for the cost difference are, at best, negligible and not worth the price of admission.

I bought my wife a V11 Torque Drive a few years ago, and that thing could very well suck a baseball through a garden hose. Moreover, it has so much suction on carpeted areas in the auto mode with the gates half open that it has found shoddy installation because it has caused the carpet to washboard in some areas.

It's my opinion that it's not worth paying nearly $800.00 to upgrade from the still perfectly good V11, which is still for sale and is now available with a removable click battery on home shopping channels for almost $300.00 less, and offering 97% of the V15's overall performance. That is unless someone has to have the gimmicky and useless particle counter. However, We are open to upgrading to the fluffy laser head. But, again, that's a whole lot less than buying a new vacuum.

Nawel Boudri says:

Thanks for the video! I think I am going to go for the v11, however on the dyson website the v11 comes blue and not gold like in your video. Is it still the same one?

Timothy H. says:

Could not agree more regarding the annoying trigger. For the money one must pay for a Dyson, is it too much to ask for a simple sliding on/off switch?

Gutter1357 says:

Great review!

chinz says:

Hi, is the soft roller for the hard floors that come with v11 model washable?

Nidhoggr says:

I gotta say that Dyson's packaging of their vacuums is fantastic. Basically no wasted space and the boxes are double walled and then placed in a second box that provides more protection against punctures.

Matt Carlyon says:

What I really want to know is how useful is that laser. I appreciated your opinion on that. Good video otherwise, that was the standout for me though
