On the rare occasion that Vacuum Wars does a sponsored video or receives a product from a manufacturer to review, we will be clear about that in the video. Otherwise, if nothing was mentioned, then this was an unsponsored review.
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program as well as the Walmart affiliate program and others. These are affiliate advertising programs designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and affiliated sites. The links are “Genius Links.” They give you the opportunity to choose which affiliated retailer you would like to go to when multiple affiliated options are available. In the case of Amazon, Genius links direct you to the Amazon store for your country. For example, if you are from Canada the Genius links will direct you to the Amazon.ca listing instead of the Amazon.com listing.
In using Genius Links, Vacuum Wars occasionally offers “Choice” pages as a service to our viewers so that they can more easily compare prices, shipping options, and other preferences. As you make your selections, be sure to read the product descriptions carefully. Different retailers may offer models with slightly different specifications or attachments.

I just bought this and I love it! It’s wonderful.
Do you recommend this or shark stratos?
Absolutely! Following the simple instructions is a problem for many people these days! I (usually) run my Dyson V6 Absolutes around once or twice a day and that keeps things nicer as well as making vacuuming an easier chore! Empty every time and vacuum out the bins with a Dyson upright.
Your review was so helpful and your voice is so soothing!
How does this compare to the v11? 😮
Great review as always. Just bought a V12, and I was immediately looking for additional accessories. I have read that while the powered attachments are not interchangeable between models, all the unpowered "red-button" ones are, all the way back to V7, which the Dyson website also seems to indicate. Is this correct?
ahhh finally this reached the US shores. There was a “v11 style” version released almost 2 years ago in Singapore, and I was almost in the process of ordering one. Glad we have the same version now here
I just got one, The v12 detect slim fluffy and I am already loving it! It’s a hit heavy and tall for me when I use the adjustable attachment since I’m 4’11 and petite but workable. I enjoy lazer feature and seems fun to clean and use all around. I was supposed to just buy the Digital Slim Fluffy but was advised to this one instead! Glad to have switched last minute!
This is very helpful
I just got mine yesterday and oh my god!!!
I have NOT been vacuuming allllll these years!!
Love love love this vacuum!!!
Should you buy the V12 then?
Hello hi i have doubt : can Dyson v15 clean long human hair and send it to the bin without getting tangled in the machine .
Uhhhhh the tools are different size? Sonofaaaa
How many passes and how fast do you vacuum when doing the deep clean test on carpet? Wondering how many passes I should make for a 100% deep clean on carpets….
Batteries and accessories not interchangeable with other Dyson models?
Yeah Dyson…you know how to screw consumers!
I don't think the Laser is actually laser so much as green led light.
Just bought this with a 20% off coupon Dyson sent me. My V11 has 2 months of warranty left and the canister just broke (they're sending me a new one). I love the V11 but Dyson is the best at what it does so I couldn't resist.
Any thoughts about the V12 Detect Slim and the normal V12 Slim? The 'Detect' is only the showing of the particals?
Love your reviews! I went to the comparison site but am still on the fence about whether to get the Lupe or the Dyson V12. Will you be doing a review of these two cordless vacuums or these two with similar category cordless vacuums? Thank you!!
The Level of detail, I love your videos. Most Useful Youtube channel I have ever come across. However, I have one question.
Is there a "one size fits all vacuum" out there? I.e usable on hard floors, Mops hard floors, cleans carpets, upholstery, powerful and wet/dry compatible like a shop vac.
In short, the ultimate cleaning machine, corded or cordless doesn't matter.
Please let me know, I would love to know your thoughts.
Currently debating between the V10 & V12, as they're both currently the same price on Dyson website. The differences seem fairly hard to discern for someone who's not in the know. Which would you say that you prefer?
I'll probably buy a wireless vacuum only when I could insert 18650 (or such) batteries for powering it. I might be ok with replacing myself 18650 cells, for relatively cheap, but I'm not ok with depending on the manufacturer for the batteries (which they make expensive, too).
Not sure if your channel could be about it, but my guess is if you made a video where you convert a Dyson vacuum to have a battery in which one can easily change the cells – that video would get millions of views. That's what I reckon.
You didn't talk about the new on/off button that replaces the finger trigger. It's a massive reason to buy this! Also, only powered cleaner heads from other v8 – v15 are not compatible with the v12, but all the non-powered brush tools will fit just fine.
Bought it a couple of months ago. It's da shiz
How about the V11 vs V12? Can pick them up for about the same price.
if anyone wants to venmo me 650 ill love you
