The information you’re giving is inaccurate. The vacuum cleaner torque head doesn’t change speeds. It has a dynamic load sensor which senses the floor and sends a signal to the suction motor to reduce or increase fan power. – a former Dyson employee.

Darn. Why on earth would dyson not just put an on and off switch on this? I mean its not like it is chainsaw. Not a risk you could cut your leg or toes off. That might be a deal breaker for me. Because of grip and arthritis issues. >:o/
When will they give us an on off switch!! 🙄 I get fatigued holding the trigger as well. If you don’t have arthritis… you can expect carpal tunnel from using this vacuum. Still going to buy the V11 BUT really waiting for that trigger feature to have a lock to keep it on. Oh and a kickstand would be EVERYTHING.

it only cleans dirt vacuums it it doesnt wash floors or carpets lke steamers and the bissel wet and dry?

The price difference is reflective in the loss of the sponge floor cleaner which the animal doesn’t have.

One thing is for sure, I am never going back to corded vaccunes.
The V11 is the bells and whistles the V10 is more bare. But as she said the cleaning performance is exactly the same. Most of this is how you use it. You can manually ramp up the motor on the V10 when you hit carpet. So it really depends on what you want. If your just after a good stick Vac. Get the V10. Forget the V8 and V7 unless your keeping the upright etc. If you want the bells and whistles get the V11.

Great review and comparison. The only thing I found out about the animal is that is shorter in length and the torque comes with an extra attachment.

Excellent cleaners, but they’re not suitable for loop pile carpets. The motorised head wears away at the top of the loops, where you can suck up a considerable amount of carpet fibre along with the dust and debris.
