Hi again. Here is a con about the V10 that I recently discovered: It’s a great cleaner, but one that, according to the downloaded V10 instructions, cannot be used on certain types of carpets – and these would come under the loop pile range. The supplied brush bar head for carpets could cause fraying of the tops of the loops, where what you collect in the bin might be as much carpet fibre as it is dust. Dave, Australia

thanks! very useful. I was really considering buying this Dyson but I will not do it…having to press the button all the time while vacuming would be a nightmare for me.
Nice review. Thank you. I think the lowest setting is a little too low for general carpet vacuuming: 16 airwatts only is the power it is my understanding. The medium setting at 32 (or 33) is reportedly more suitable. (Of course, if you’re using the machine for business then you’d need to conserve battery power.) Cheers.
