I hate this vacuumm cleaner. tt's heavy and clunky and just awful to use. It keeps turning itself off for some unknown reason, and so far, Dyson has replaced every part of this except the main motor, to no avail.. I just spent 1 hour and 32 minutes on the phone with them, during which they claimed that my warranty had expired on January 24, 2024 even though I sent them the receipt showing I had bought it on March 16, 2022. They could not explain this discrepancy. If you're thinking of buying a Dyson (and it's very expensive), please think again.

Battery life on our V10+ is hot garbage – died in less than one year. At $129, why would I?….It's going back to Costco….Like the vac, hate the battery.

Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem – the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.
How’s your Dyson going? Mine just quit after 3 years of light use. It looks like the motor has failed.
Max setting is for heavily soiled spot cleaning. For regular vacuuming, use settings 1 or 2.
Buy it from Costco, return it when it breaks, buy another one, repeat.
A great vacuum for the price. The suction is awesome. Excellent for pet hair. The beater attachment works great MyBest.Tools on the stairs. Not too heavy and easily maneuvered.
Useless, you can't empty it, the slider sticks in less that a year, and can't be unstuck. Worst emptying vaccum I've ever owned.

Total garbage a total waste of money. My wife had to do a forensic cleaning everything it was used. Then everything started to snap off, the plastic I mean. NO support from the company. I WAS GOING TO SEND SOME OLD PARTS OFF AN OLD HOOVER 30 YEARS OLD STILL WORKING TO SEE IF IT WOULD BE BETTER THAN THE MELTED SHOPPING BAGS THAT WAS USED IN THE DYSON OUTSOURCED FROM CHINA. SOMEONE IS MAKING MILLIONS OFF THIS WITH NO REGARD FOR THE CONSUMER. COME ON GOVERNMENT STEP IN. It's bad enough that everything in this world is disposable at dollar store level not the 700 dollar store.
We've had ours for about a year and the motor is busted. Regular maintenance and filter cleaning. Solid blue light. Customer support suggested we just buy a new one. Needless to say, we won't be. Was great while it worked, but 0/10 for reliability.
Experiencing poor customer service. Told me on the phone it's lifetime warranty and when it came to use the warranty they told me it's expired. A billion dollar operation, and they don't have a supervisor or manager on the phone to help me. they told me I would have to wait 72 hours in order for someone to call me back. It's one thing to design a cool good product and it's another thing to have a good customer service. I am very disappointed, not worth the money to only use for 1 or 2 years before it falls apart. Invest in something else that is better and cheaper. For the price I could have bought or replaced a vaccum every year for 5 years.
I've had my V10 Animal for several years, & have LOVED it!!! It was THE BEST vac for picking up from the side of the head, far better than my Orecks over the years, & also THE BEST for picking up pet hair! At the time I bought mine, I had 5 indoor cats. Before I used it for the first time, I went over a carpeted floor with the Oreck commercial vac. When I then went over that same floor with the V10 Animal, you can't BELIEVE how much hair came up!!! I'd thought the Oreck was doing a great job, but it wasn't!!
However….after several years, my Dyson is not picking up as well as it did when newer. I guess the battery is slowly dying. I do NOT like the fancy LED stuff, or intuitive models that change when they go on different floors — just more to tear up, & I like simple! — so I'll probably order another V10 Animal.
By the way, it is NO problem at all, knowing when to clean the HEPA filter in the top cap. The unit won't run when it needs changing, & there's a little light in the shape of a filter (if I remember correctly) that indicates time for a cleaning. I get the outer cat hair off the filter with wide sealing tape, then wash it under the faucet & with the sprayer. The reviewer said it takes 3 days to dry??? Mine dries by end of day!
The V10 is awful, I'm getting rid of mine this year. Fed up of clogged filters, sticking bins, full strip down clean every 6 months. It really is awful I'm the long run. If you have a V10 you can "fit" a V11 body and use all your old tools, you'll just need a V11 wall dock of that's your thing. Personally I'm going to get the Lupe.
Dude, good review but you obviously don't have any critters or someone with long hair. I too like the power but dumping this thing is ridiculous. I tried to contact the factory on this but they just ignored me. It's horrible, I have to clean up every time I dump the filter a dust ball of hair and dirt get stuck inside and I have to reach in and drag it out. Is this the end of the world, oh hell no, but for a company like Dyson to make such a kickass vacuum then cut themselves short at the end I don't get it. Come on Dyson, swallow your pride and go back to the drawing board because this vacuum sucks, yes big time both ways.

That's gotta be the worst review or 1 year later update I've ever seen. All I heard was the Dyson V10 and V11 prices without knowing anything else about that as far as quality or bang for the buck lol 😂

I just bought the v10 (like an hour ago) to replace the v6 (yeah I going classic here haha) and I am so curious to find out if is at leas just as good as the v6 (hand vacuum). That thing, that thing is the king of vacuums (for me)…
