Motor Head died after 4 years We own DC 44 since Dec 2013 (initially purchased at $299+ tax).Motor head recently died which I wasn’t thrilled with.I use this conveniently small/lightweight cordless vacuum almost daily so it was a no brainer for me to either get a new Dyson cordless or update the motor head.I am already happy with DC 44 so I wanted to give this motor head a try :)!- $77+tax which is much cheaper than buying a new vacuum system- Noticeably collects dust/small stuff better…
Replaced Motor Head Assembly that wore out With 3 dogs and 3 cats, 4 of which are long hairs, my Dyson DC44 Animal is used daily. I’m also on my second replacement battery. I have mostly hardwood floors, with tile in the kitchen, bathrooms and den. I have to pull the hair out of the brushes after every use. In the future, I will be taking the brush assembly out on a more frequent schedule as well to remove hair from the spindles. This may have been putting extra drag on the motor in the head which possibly shortened its usage life…
Made my dc44 just like new!
