FLATOUT vs. ARTICULATING HARD FLOOR TOOL I have both this Flatout Tool and the Dyson Articulating Hard Floor Tool. I wanted to replace the turbine head which came with my Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Canister Vacuum with something slimmer to fit under furniture and to reach closer around table legs. The FLATOUT is only 1/2 at the edges, 1″ at the center, but 1.5″ at the wheels — still too fat to fully get under my stove or refrigerator as I’d hoped. Works well- but…. I love this tool it gets under most of my low furniture which is a HUGE plus. My only complaint was I specifically bought it to go under my low to the ground new sectional. I looked at the dimensions and measured the clearance I had to get under the sectional and thought great I have almost a 1/2 inch to spare- alas though the flat head can get partially under my sectional but not all the way because the part that clips on the Dyson makes it about a 1/4 of an inch too big to fit- UGH!
