After 13+ years – worth EVERY penny! We have an older DC-14… probably purchased around 2005/2006. Like many – we would wash the foam filter “when we thought about it”, but never replaced the HEPA filter. According to Dyson – it’s a “lifetime” filter. Well – let me be the first to say… after this many years and two cats… the vacuum was feeling a bit “tired”. Instead of just replacing the whole vacuum like most would do thinking it’s “bad”, we decided to do some maintenance. We pulled apart all the hoses & connectors…
Great replacement filter with a good seal! Almost perfect filter for our Dyson DC14 Full Access and about as close as you can get to the original “Lifetime filter” that Dyson shipped with these units. This post motor filter uses a felt gasket on the side and bottom of the filter versus the full rubber one that comes with the Dyson’ filter thought it appears to keep just as good of a seal than the original does.This is our third filter in the last 12 years. We had been using the original filter until August of last…
