Don’t waste your money if you have pets, kids, or live in your home. This review pains me to write, but I don’t want anyone else to waste their money. I had a 7 year old Dyson that I used almost daily and loved. It finally died an honorable death. We had moved to a home with hard wood floors except for the bedrooms and the kids are older, so I bought a cheap vacuum. It lasted almost a month, so I ordered this Dyson. Do you like taking apart machines repeatedly and pulling out dirt with your hands? This machine might be for you! Purchased this to replace my Hoover upright which happily lasted for 20+ years with zero problems. I have had this model for 2 years now and every time I use it, I think, “Worst. Designed. Vacuum. On. The. Planet” over and over while I stop every five minutes to unclog the machine. The canister holds very little dirt, but that doesn’t matter because all the dirt and fuzz from normal everyday living gets clogged in one of three places before it ever even gets to the canister. We’re going back to using one w/ a bag like the last one we used for some 20 years Described as “The Dyson Ball Compact Animal Upright” yet when I contacted Dyson’s support center because the bottom plate had lost suction after less than a year of use they said if it’s used to vacuum up kitty litter their service centers will treat it as a bio-hazard and return it to the customer un-serviced.
