One of the best purchases we’ve made in years This is simply a great machine. We already had a big dyson (DC-28 I think) which we like in terms of quality but it’s a big heavy machine and takes time to get out of the closet, plug in, lug up the stairs etc. I saw the DC44 on Amazon and told my wife it would make life easier getting the dog hair up etc. She said no way we didn’t need it and a cordless wouldn’t be strong enough. Think twice before buying refurbished This review is about the product AND my Dyson “refurbished” experience. First, my vacuum had an unexpected amount of scratches, a cloudy dirt bin, a dent in the aluminum tube, and a small amount of residual animal hair in it. It was clearly not a gently used product. Second, my unit would not charge and the charge lights did not work as described by the manual.First impressions are everything.
