Per Dyson – it’s not designed for area rugs The product works great on hardwood cleaners. If you have hardwood, it’s safe to assume that you also have area rugs. That is where the problem starts. If you have a low pile area rug, this vacuum will not work.I called up Dyson customer care and their response was that it is designed for hardwood floors or carpeted floors and NOT area rugs.
