Dyson DC35 Vs Dyson V6 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Pick Up Demonstrations

In this video I compare my old Dyson DC35 Digital Slim with a brand new Dyson V6 cordless vacuum cleaner.

Apart from better pet hair pick up, there wasn’t much to choose between the two cleaners, in fact the DC35 seems to be better on my hard floor than the V6. After making this video, I decided to return the V6 and keep the DC35, but I may upgrade to a new V8 at some point.

you should buy the fluffy attachment for $100 on ebay

The fluffy attachment on the V6 makes a difference. My V6 Total Clean has the fluffy floor head with it and it seems to do better on larger particles with that floor head. It got up cat litter no problem with the fluffy attachment

Do you still have the Dyson from ao.com and the DC40?

Hi I've been watching for quite a while now but I've never commented. When I first saw your videos I was amazed that anyone could have such an unusual hobby! Although over time I have become unexpectantly hooked.

I am a young product designer and seeing how products work and look is very important. Your videos are really well made and demonstrated and I really enjoy watching you show the product and talk.

Perfect chill time for me in the middle of stressful work projects! Perhaps one day I will get to work on a vacuum cleaner and all this time will be put to good use! Many thanks for the hours of great videos :)

I'm trying to decide if I like this new style of configuration for a stick-vac. The idea of adding long wands to a hand-vac has actually been around since the 1980's, if not the 1970's. And as an optional infrequent configuration, I don't mind it. But that was when the bins were really small and "dustbuster" like. I much prefer having the motor and exhaust far down and away from my face and ears. It also raises the centre of gravity and makes it impossible to stand on its own.

ibaisaic would you recommend the dyson dc40

Excellent video yet again, thanks Roger.
After swapping about stick vacs for a week or so, I ended up with the Dyson V6 Animal, it is good on my hardwood floors and on the bedroom carpeting, however in the lounge room I have a very large man made fibre carpet square, which is also very dense. The V6 has so much suction it just sticks to the carpet and will not move forward at all. Then I have to bring out my big vac. Be nice if they came out with one with variable suction.
I only kept the Dyson is because it is lighter something people need to consider with either back or shoulder problems.

Good video Roger. I owned the very first Dyson rechargeable and it was a nightmare. I think I barely got six minutes and it took a couple of hours to charge and was heavy. For me, Dyson just isn't a go. Too expensive for what they provide.
