I'm sure this will be lost on the average viewer, but…
In order for vacuum cleaner to not lose suction, it must not get clogged. In order for it to not get clogged, it must not be filtering. You cannot have it both ways. Bagless vacuum cleaners trap large stuff without using a filter, but those aren't the particles you worry about floating around in the air. It still must use filters to trap the small particles, and filters naturally get clogged causing a loss of suction. The benefit of a bagless vacuum cleaner is not requiring bags.
