Perfect fit I bought this cord to replace the original cord on my DC40. There are no instructions with this cord, but I found a video on YouTube that showed all the steps. Unlike some other buyers, I didnât need to make any modifications to the cord or vacuum to reassemble the vacuum. It was a bit of a tight fit, but I attributed that to the new cord not being as pliable as the old one. Just be careful with the switch assembly.
