I use one everyday. Four indoor/outdoor dogs. One sheds like crazy. This vacuum handles all of their fur with ease. A longer battery life would be nice. It lasts a decent amount of time on the lower setting. The higher setting is extremely powerful. Easy maintenance, lightweight. Very maneuverable. Got one for $249 at Lowe's. Highly recommend if you have pets. Your home will always been clean because this vacuum is so convenient to use.
Wow, you're a trifle frantic for me, had to turn the volume way down. However, good review but having previously purchased two Dyson vacuum's, never again. Unreliable, paid nearly £400 for one that lasted just short of two years. Better options out there.

My Mom has an Orick Stand up Vac and a Miele Canister ..She just purchased the Dyson V8 Animal Because of this video..She wants something light.. She paid $249.99.. Oh and I just had to go buy the Hardwood floor main attachment for ($105.00) Thanks for doing this
I bought the v7 motorhead during the Black Friday sale at Target and love it but it didn’t come with all of the attachments. Instead of buying the attachments separately I just ordered the v8 from Dyson and will return the v7. My house isn’t huge so I can normally get what I need done before the battery runs out. I highly recommend this especially for people who have pain/medical issues.
We just bought this on Black Friday and ran into a few bugs. So, googled V8 Animal to see if others had same problems and found your video as being the most recent. You certainly clarified some of the issues that we are having and we found it may be more operator error rather than the vacuum. Going to check out some of your approaches tonight when we get home and see if that resolves it. Thank goodness for YouTube.

I just bought this vacuum yesterday on a whim when it was a super great price at BBB (Black Friday sale). I wasn’t sure if I wanted it or not, but am glad I got it—time to break it out of the box!
Animals inside the home is digusting… I have guys that I work with who comes to work everyday and you see cat or dog hair all over their hoodies, and shirts… This is digusting.. No vacuum will work for this… If you have animals in your home, you will go to work looking like an animal..animals belong outside… Not in a human home… Jeeze…
Excellent review! I’ve watched five different Dyson V8 animal vacuum reviews so far, and I’m so happy to have come across yours! You really hit all the points and went over every question I had. I appreciate you taking the time to make such a detailed video. I did have one question though, I have fake hardwood floors. I forget what it’s called, but it’s just the standard flooring that looks like hard wood, but it’s not real. Can I use the regular head on my floors or should I get the additional felt head that you can buy??
Thanks for the great exercise video. I just follow along and swing my arms like you when you're talking and I get a fantastic workout. I've noticed a great increase in my forearm strength in only four weeks. Just messing with you. This is a fantastic video.
