A full-truth review of the Dreame Z30 vacuum cleaner that’s not sponsored. It reveals why it costs half as much as the Dyson Gen5 it directly competes with. Evidencing the full truth doesn’t make me biased, it makes me honest. Interesting video goes to show when you look into further how far some products are from what or how they are marketed.
Another product that is doing the social media rounds especially the brand and paid ads is Hoover mattress vacuum cleaner with built in UV light that doesn’t cover the whole cleaner head opening and a heater to reduce moisture in the mattress!
I have asked questions on their posts about their claims but no reply! Spoke to an independent Allergy specialist and they advise UV light is pointless. Even Dyson has looked into that and said it isn’t what it says it does kill bacteria in its use in a vacuum cleaner. See if I can found the Dyson video they briefly mention it in!
I don’t feel you need a separate machine to vac your mattress or upholstery waste of money!
Goes to show what mis information is out there these days!
nice. only now I appreciate how difficult to make this video despite very few audience.
– you are spot on dirt sensor. while I could make a long comment about this topic, at this price point or below-a user would have to do with manually adjusting power when necessary. then again, I bought two Anko used, incomplete cordless vacs for 13.25 USD each and has primitive dirt sensor ability. Insanely dirt cheap considering the hardware and price so this Dreame should have nearly as good as Dysons sensor.
– still amazing to see there is no way around fine dust clogging the filters except running the vacuum at high power than necessary. I discovered/noticed this myself 7 years ago with my first cordless vac from China as I thought the low power is not enough for hard floors. It killed the brushed motor prematurely. Going back, cordless vacuums should now run more powerful than they need (like on the Gen5detect) considering the dropping price of batteries and there are techniques to silence the noise of vacuum.
I'd like to see you test the Shark PowerDetect. It has dirt detect, floor surface detect, edge detect etc 🙂
It seems like the LED "headlight" has been made too low on the Dreame Z30, probably an attempt to highlight surface dirt like a laser. Certainly not a great implementation of a floorhead light. One of my vacuums has a well-positioned light. I find it surprisingly useful. In fact, I actually somewhat miss it when using machines without one! I think a well implemented light can be appreciated.
Will you review the Dyson Micro?
I was recently in the market for a vacuum cleaner as I needed something to replace our Samsung Jetbot which we simply just kept forgetting to activate when leaving the apartment . The market is a bit of a minefield with so many brands and claims, yet I was always aware of Dyson and had a DC08 way back in 2006 which lasted a very long time.
After spending some time researching and calculating, I finally narrowed down my shortlist to the V15 Detect, V12 Detect and Gen5 Detect. In the end I excluded the V12 based on bin capacity and found what I would consider a decent deal on the Gen5 Detect Absolute for €749 here in Estonia.
First week and I’m very impressed with its performance, even on eco mode you get an excellent clean. We have mostly all hard wood and tiled floors, with some rugs here and there.
Chinese vacuum cleaners are crap they loose suction after couple of weeks
