Dewalt Cordless 20v Vacuum vs a Dyson Cordless Vacuum Comparison and Demos DCV581H

As an unconventional comparison I compare our Dewalt Cordless Shop Vac DCV581H against our hand held Dyson Vacuum. It happened as an accident but my wife and I have both grown to love the Dewalt Cordless vacuum more than our hand held Dyson Vacuum.

Let me know what you think of it in the comments below!

Thank you for watching!

I'm so going to get this…used to have a giant 16-gallon Shop-Vac that took up more space and was beyond cumbersome and rarely used it in the basement. Plus I already have the 20V battery with the 1/2" impact wrench (amazing tool) and can clean the car on top!

Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to says:

I have the DeWalt and it's a brilliant, tough and versatile vacuum.

randomrazr says:

the dewalt is designed to pick up everything from little bits of dust to chunks of metal and wood chips. the dyson is not ment for that and if u do use it like that, it will eventually break

Don't you ever put that noisy vacuum up next to that child's head/ear like that again ever! What kind of parent are you? 01:25 WHAT ARE YOU DOING

Great video! Actually i have been using these for years around the house picking up cat fur and dust bunnies off the hardwood floor. I really like the the filter that came with it as it doesn't clog like a cheap paper filter would. I did have the extension wands from my older dewalt vac which this model doesn't include.

Ronald Martens says:

I'm wondering how the filter works on building material, if it clogs up and loses suction.
Also, it would be handy to have a larger cordless machine with the bigger 40 or 80 volt battery with a high amp hour. This for the purpose of attaching to power tools or cordless to suck the material.
They will get there. The metabo now have the 9 inch 230 mm cordless angle grinder. Since Milwaukee now have 9 amp hour batteries, run time will increase and be more suitable for high power demand.
I feel if there is no catchment bag, the filter will collect more particles causing it to loose suction. Thankyou.

Cool video, great examples.

Ethan Hall says:

have you come across anything to make it so the outlet of the vacuum goes in the opposite direction yet that you were talking about at 7:30 in the video?

drkhorse says:

put the angled floor attachment in the blower port to direct air up or to the side
