Dusting – my home has tons of dust. Dusting is really easy with the Dyson v10 / v11 vacuum cleaner.
Cleaning fans – Dyson has a long extension stick with which we can clean fans with ease.
Cleaning cobwebs – like the fans, reaching the cobwebs was quite a task with my corded vacuum. With Dyson extension and flexible extension, it becomes easy to clean cobwebs.
Cleaning balcony and window rails – this is one of the most neglected areas for cleaning and can get very dusty. The flexible extension hose makes it easier to reach previously non reachable areas of the rails and helps to clean.
Cleaning mattresses, sofas – Since start of covid, cleaning mattresses and sofas with the Dyson has become very easy.
Cleaning inside of the car – With dyson vacuum cleaner, we can clean the car easily. We dont need to go looking for an electrical point.
Cleaning inside of cabinets – Although these cabinets remain closed, a lot of dust settles on the floor of the cabinets. Esp. in wardrobes – a mixture of hair, dust, makeup and other elements make it a breeding ground for dust mites and bacteria. A cordless vacuum like the Dyson help with cleaning the inside of the cabinet as well
Cleaning the attic – The dyson has an up top extension which helps with cleaning areas not easy to reach or see.
Quick cleaning – With the dyson you can do a quick clean in about 10-15 minutes.
Cleaning crevices – with the crevice extension, you can clean the crevices of your sofa or mattresses.
Cleaning corners – Robot vacuum cleaners do a great job of cleaning the floors but based on what model you use, sometimes the corners donโ€™t get cleaned very well. In this case Iโ€™m referring to corners not edges – edges are cleaned really well. So a vacuum cleaner helps with this.
Cleaning wall skirting – With a cordless vacuum cleaner like dyson v11 – you can cover the whole house in less than 10 minutes
Cleaning doors – Dyson makes it very easy to clean doors as well.

Why you should not buy the dyson?
The suction power on the lowest mode is really low – it is not good enough for any kind of intensive task.
Battery life is good in the min mode, just enough in the mid mode and abysmal in the boost/high mode. In the high mode, it does not give more than 5-8 min. In the mid mode, it gives about 30 min which is good enough for a weekend of cleaning and in the min mode it gives 45 min+.
Very heavy

Now I bought the v10 model and not the v11. Why v10 and not v11 – the minimal specification difference between v10 and v11 does not justify the pricing in my opinion.

I just bought the DYSON Submarine. The problem is that the use time is very less. Not so convenient for big homes.

Soumya, would you recommend to buy from Dyson website, or Amazon? I have also seen one of the local appliance stores have Dyson as well.. When do we usually get Sale offers and where (Amazon/Dyson website etc).. Thanks

Should i buy the xiaomi roidmi cordless f8 storm vaccum cleaner i am getting it for 8k on croma

@brahmaguptapatil4552 says:

Your videos are very informative. I specially about the parameters that you shortlist for comparing the vacuum cleaners. I am planning to purchase a vacuum cleaner mainly for upholstery and furniture. Not at all for the floor. Which one would you recommend in this case?

@brahmaguptapatil4552 says:

If Phillips is giving 6m cord then why are you saying you could not use phillips to clean fan? Other than this reason, your video did not provide any point of why one should be using a cordless than corded. The corded Phillips seems to be a better option

@prernasharma5710 says:

Hi Saumya, which model do you recommend? Need to buy one pls. I want to also use it for sweeping my house.

@rdcal says:

Thanks for the video. Q. Does a vacuum cleaner work in a humid environment? The reason for asking is that dust usually sticks in such an environment and I wonder if even the most powerful domestic vacuum cleaner would be able to suck the dust out. Please advise.

@naazj8508 says:

Can we use it for cleaning balconies…more mud gets accumulated because of vehicles

@sakshisingh1502 says:

Hi Saumya, V10 is out of stock everywhere. Which other Dyson do you recommend for dust cobwebs and cars please? thanks!

@Noinoanoe says:

This video is more useful than the 99% of reviews about Dyson on YouTube. I don't care about the technology and stuff. All I care about is the actual benefits.

@chiranjivgurnasinghani3652 says:

Hi Soumya. Thanks for your great content. I recently bought a v12 detect slim. And it does not have the 'reach under tool' as mentioned on the dyson website. Can you confirm whether dyson includes that in the box

@olifern says:

I have a Dyson v11 and my hands pain a bit when doing the ceiling fan thing. Heard that the v8 is quite light.

@olifern says:

Can u plz do a video on how you manage to organise so many gadgets you get? I have a bit of trouble…i have a Dyson and would like to get the robot too but then as usual i get to hear from family members that i just keep buying stuff (possibly because the house gets a bit cluttered)

@NishantMody says:

Very well explained.

@badarikrishna3169 says:

All the usecases you mentioned in this video is exactly what I go through day in day out as well. I was confused about buying a corded or cordless. Seems like cordless is a go for me. Btw what are the compromise we make with a cordless? It'd be great to know the difference.

@kayasthmanish says:
